Back On Track Together
Back on Track
Well, I began my journey anew! After losing a lot of weight, I gained over 100 pounds back. I want to lose at least 90 pounds so I'll be in my ideal weight. I started yesterday and the day went well, today I feel like crap, dizzy, nauseaus, with a headache. I feel like crap. I didn't feel this way since my surgery, it feels like starting again but I can eat more but I cannot eat much. Anyway, I am taking my vitamins, protein bar, breakfast high in protein, my lunch the same for dinner a protein shake. I am hoping that the weight will come off as quickly as it did in the past but, I doubt it. My 10 year anniversary is on a few days and I have been gaining weight since 2009, 5 years post op.
Congratulation on taking the first steps to a healthier you. You are probably feel crappy because of carb and possible caffeine withdrawal. It will get better in a few days. Your food and vitamins look good. What about exercise? Unfortunately, I am finding the weight doesn't come off as fast as when we originally had surgery. This is a great group and they are so willing to offer support. Good luck!

Welcome to BOTT! You can get that regain off but it is slower around the second time. I was able to take 70 lbs. off in 8 months. Up your protein between 80-100 grams daily, lower your net carbs to 50 grams a day or less, walk at least 30 minutes a day, and keep your calories down around 800-1000 daily. Journal your food daily to make sure you stay on track and take your vitamins, they are very important. Good luck to you and welcome aboard. We hope to hear from you about all your successes!
Although I have not weighted myself yet since I started, I can feel that I am losing weight since my clothes are started to get a little bigger, my ring and my watch are loose. I have been keeping carbs to a bare minimum mostly from the protein. My dinner is my protein shake, for lunch I mostly have chicken and salad for breakfast, I am doing coffee, 2 eggs with ham and cheese. Calories under 1000. I stopped the Coca Colas and the carbs which are my trigger foods. No juices either since these are loaded with sugar. I think I am doing alright and likely doing about 80 to 100 grams of protein per day. I also have a protein bar daily which has 20mg as a snack. I am also making an effort in drinking lots of water. I think that just dropping the cokes will make lose a lot of weight since my surgery I was never able to eat much.
Cheers
Sounds like you are doing a great job! I understand about the walking. You might want to get some 3 and 5 lb. weights and sit in a chair and do a workout program design with that in mind. Also, I got a great pair of walking shoes from Reebok with extra padding made just for walking and it made all the different in the world to my feet. That was probably my best buy for exercise. I am actually on my second pair.
