Back On Track Together
slow-going Saturday
Congratulations! On both - moving back home and realizing carbs are not the answer for stress. We all been there. (at least some of us)
If you can't post much - just try to read - some days when I get too busy - just reading others posts reminds me about proper eating, importance of taking vitamins and minerals, and that I am not the only one to deal with challenges.
Best wishes and hugs.
And since you started the Saturday post let me post plans for my Saturday:
I am trying to lose some of my holidays + being sick regain, and slowly getting there. The scale was kind to me again this morning, and I hope that will help me with mindful eating tonight ast as huge dinner party. It would be Japanese sushi bar, free booze, and then 4-5 course dinner.. I want to enjoy the foods ... But in 5+ years post op I still have limits how much I can eat unless I drink wine or other alcohol with it. I love sashimi ... So I plan to have one glass of wine with the bar..so I can eat the fish, and then I can have some food for dinner. The rest of the day today would be lean chicken, protein shakes, and limited calories.
Exercise: walking plus socializing at the party...

Congratulations on getting the job! Stress eating is the devil but realizing that carbs are not the answer is your first step in overcoming the beast. Find one food that is good for you to eat but that you don't usually have it very much. Let that be your stress go to food. By doing that, you have replaced a bad carb with a better choice.
