Happy, Cold Hump Day!

I just can not begin to tell you how cold I am.  This time of the year is probably the only time I regret not having my blanket of fat on my body.  No matter how warm the office/house is, my feet and fingers will still be blue with cold.  Even my elbows were cold yesterday.  I can't wait for Spring, heck, I can't wait to get back in the 50 degrees.  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Hot Coffee & Miralax

Snack:  Quest Protein Bar

Lunch:  Protein Shake and Hot Chocolate

Snack:  Banana

Dinner:  Veggie Chili

Snack:  Vitatop

Exercise:  Bike

Please stay in today if the weather is bad your way, remember your vits and fluids too!  Have a warm day!

Good morning BOTTs.

Tess...my heart really goes out to you...being chilled to the bones just flat out hurts!!!!  I am sending you warm thoughts and prayers to warm you.

Breakfast:  Belvita chocolate biscuits (not the healthiest choice but it was a fast grab and I was late late late!)

Snack:  SF hot chocolate & later string cheese

Lunch: 2 hard boiled eggs

Snack:  Greek yogurt

Dinner:  salmon and broccoli

Snack:  ?

Going for a walk again today...yesterday I had installed the Pacer App, thanks to Tess and learned that my typical walk is just under 4,000 steps.  It's really cool to have learned that...today I want to take a little different route and see how high I can get my steps up to in about the same amount of time.

Have a nice day and get warm.

Gaby

Thanks for the warm wishes.  Gaby, when I went to New York and walked around and through Central Park to the Museum of Natural Sciences, I ended up clocking 13,000 steps that day.  My feet look like swollen sausages and felt like they had been on the grill too!  Think about what you walked yesterday and triple that number and then some.  10,000 steps are a lot harder than people think.  Have fun walking today!

I thought it was COLD here but when I read some of the other posts from the past few days and see all the negative numbers....well I'm thankful for these single digit windchill temperatures. We did get our snow storm last night. It snowed for about an hour then changed over to sleet and then back to snow...who knows when we'll finally thaw out. We still had snow from last week's storm lying around in spots. This is not the winter that we're accustomed to. We've got between 6 and 8 inches on the ground with lots of wind so there are some substantial drifts here and there. Praise the Lord we never lost power last night. I think that excited me more than the snowfall excited the neighborhood kids.

Today is one of those very relaxed days. I'm not planning on getting out of my pjs. The steps are way too dangerous for me to even attempt. In the words of my 14 year old..."Iris, you need to plan on staying home for a few days. The front steps are treacherous and the back steps are worse than that. What's a word for worse than treacherous?" I love this kid.

Today's plan is simple:

Coffee!!

Coffee!!

Breakfast:  Bacon & Egg on whole wheat toast

Tea!!

Tea!!

Lunch: Chicken & Veggie (leftover crock pot dinner from last night)

Tea!!

Coffee!!

Dinner: Vegetable Beef Soup

Tea!!

Tea!!

There's a lot of drinking going on around here! ha ha ha.  Not knowing if I'd lose power or not, I brewed a few extra gallons of decaf tea last night. So now it's time to drink up. Exercise is going to be lots of trips running to the bathroom. There was a doc in my surgeon's practice who stressed the importance of pushups as the perfect exercise (wall, knee, regular, etc) I think I'll do 15 wall push ups everytime I hit the bathroom today. So far I've done 60 already this morning.

Yall stay safe and warm.

So glad you did not lose power.  I have been looking at all the wrecks posted on facebook this morning from Louisiana, Mississippi and Atlanta, Ga.  I wish folks would take heed and stay off the roads.  A bus load of children spent the night on the highway because of pileups on the work.  That is terrible.  Enjoy your wall pushups.  I like mine too!

I will keep you in my prayers to keep the power flowing!!!

Iris!
that is a good idea on the push ups! I may have to try that! Sneak a set here and there, and before you know it, youve done 100 push ups!

Good Afternoon!

It is a little bit warmer in Wisconsin today, I think it will be in the teens! that is an increase of over 40 degrees! Wohhooo!

I am trying to get back in the habit of tracking my calories.  I really have to cut back on my coffee.  I get carried away with those wonderful flavored creamers.  I think I am drinking an extra 1200 calories easy in what I am drinking right now.  I have just let it get out of control, and with try to have a baby, I should just stop all together!  Switching to green tea I have decided.

My eats for today:

Breakfast: Unjury protein drink with unsweetened almond milk

Snack: Nothing, just coffee

Lunch: Unstuffed Cabbage Roll creation - Not sure if this is a stew or what lol - Ground Chicken breast instead of hamburger and a small amount of brown rice with cabbage and tomatoes.  Cut down my portion size to about a cup maybe a little over. with a small granny smith apple

Dinner: More of my cabbage roll concoction (Leftovers) 1 cup

at about 1189 calories so far for the day.  So far so good.  I have 80 calories left after dinner, so maybe some sugar free jello or an orange tonight for a snack.

Vitamins are in! Need to figure out some exercise. I may work on those push ups!
