Good Morning Botters:
It is cold, cold, cold here this morning and it is snowing. Yesterday we did not even have it in the forecast. Talk about sneaking up on you. Wind chills this morning is -5 below and temperatures were at 9 degrees. I layered up but could still use one more layer. I had excitement at my house last night. The pasture behind my subdivision caught on fire and it took three fire departments to all come and get it put out. It burned about 15 acres up and got about 400 yards to my property line. That is as close as I want to come to a fire on my property. We went and borrowed extra water hoses from my office just in case we were going to have to water down the house. The firefighters did a wonderful job but it took about 30 men working for about 5 hours to get it under control and put out. The winds were blowing cold air about 25 miles per hour and they were really pushing the fire. I was just thankful that it was pushing south and not east torwards our house. Even the cows knew to take shelter. That was my news of the day. My eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
Snack: Quest Protein Bar
Lunch: Protein Shake
Snack: Fiber One Bar
Dinner: Lean Chicken BBQ Pocket
Snack: Vitatop
Exercise: Bike

I planned better today. I threw some chicken in the oven this morning as I was getting the kids ready for school.
Breakfast: two large mugs of coffee with half and half. Later on; Greek yogurt, a dab of strawberry spread and a sprinkle of grape nuts
Lunch; 3 oz chicken tenderloin, tomato with vinegar and fresh Mozarella
Snack; quest bar
Dinner; Meat lasagna
I planned a protein shake too for some time today, I will have it when I feel like it, maybe this morning or late afternoon.
I plan on doing some major weight lifting today, I really want to build up some more muscle. I might do a little yoga too, just because I love it.

That's enough excitement. Yikes!! We made it up to 60 degrees yesterday. We won't make it up to freezing today. We're now forecast to get hit with between 8 and 14 inches of snow starting this afternoon through sometime tomorrow afternoon. We're as ready as we're going to get. Gotta make one more check on my Aunt on the way home this afternoon. I tried to convince her to come home with me but she's stubborn. I told her as long as we don't lose power she can stay home but at the first flicker she doesn't have a choice. She's a hoot and a half.
Today's plan is:
commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Scrambled egg burrito
Lunch: Ham & cheese roll up w/ 1/2 apple & peanut butter
Dinner: Crock Pot chicken & veggies (basically chicken & dumplings minus the dumplings!!)
Gotta get to work on my water and exercise. Vitamins are in. Yall stay warm and safe.

Cold here, too, 14* right now, but expected to be in 50's tomorrow....and my part of Texas has no snow !!

Iris, stay warm and safe.....your Aunt is so fortunate to have you checking on her ! I heard on the news this morning that North Carolina was going to get hit with this storm...snow starts in Texas and extends all the way to you.......be safe.
already had my vits today and have finished two jugs of water......already walked 2 miles according to my fitbit, so far so good !
my eats for today.....
breakfast..........coffee/miralax........more coffee with protein later
snack...............apple
lunch.................taco and salad
snack.................depends on how hungry I get this afternoon.....fruit or protein bar
dinner.................homemade soup.....it IS yummy !!.......going to try to cut back on the crackers !
snack..................?...... I have several different fruits at home so if I get hungry, I will eat one of those or jell-o

Working on the fluids today...been really pushing them lately and I should be tracking my mileage back and forth to the restroom!
Going for a walk during my lunch break today.
