I think you have to love the cold to live up North.  I am sure you would find the heat and humidity terrible here in the South.  I guess it is what you get use to!  Good food choices today also!

What a crazy week it's been. Yeah for it being Friday!!!!! Now if only I could make this a payday Friday it would be even better. Oh well, I guess I can't have everything. I'm looking forward to a very relaxed weekend. Tomorrow is David's birthday and I can't for the life of me decide what to get him. That's unusual for me. He seems to be perfectly content so I haven't heard a peep from him as far as things he wishes he had. That my friends is proof of a Blessed beyond measure life.

Just an FYI on the 15 bean chili that I made the other day...it only gets better as leftovers. we finished it last night for dinner and it was better than when it was made on Tuesday. I'm not a big leftovers fan so this is HIGH praise coming from me.

It has started as one of those kind of mornings here in the office where I can feel myself wanting to snack all day. I really didn't want the oatmeal or cold cereal that I would normally eat so I've "invented" a peanut butter breakfast burrito with a little trail mix rolled up in it. DANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crunchy, sweet, convenient and protein. 1/2 for breakfast and the other half is cut into portions for my snack attacks later. Not something I'd eat every day because I think it would just be too much but I'll give myself permission on days like this when the snack monster has reared up early. Co-workers are eating donuts so that may have a lot to do with it. Going to chug the water and decaf tea now.

The plan:

Commute: Coffee

Breakfast: PB Burrito (1/2)

Lunch: Mason Jar salad (the lettuce still looks amazing - 4 days after being made)

snack #1: 1/4 PB Burrito

snack #2: 1/4 PB burrito

Dinner: Fish & Steamed veggies with brown rice

I made the switch from Splenda to Stevia this week and I like it. I'm trying to get the cholesterol numbers down and one of the best plans I found was a clean eating program with no processed foods and in season fruits and vegetables. They really stressed getting rid of the artificial sweeteners and if you had to use one go for the plant extract based ones. Not as bad as I imagined. I really think my body went through withdrawals for the chemicals the first few days. Vitamins are in for the morning.

Yall have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay warm.

Happy Birthday to your husband, he sounds like mine.  I asked my hubby what he wanted for his birthday last year and he said you with a big bow tied around you, nothing else!  Get my drift........

Search them on Pinterest...basically anything and everything you'd put in a regular tossed salad (or pasta salad). I'm super excited that the lettuce has held up so well. I hate buying a bag of it only to have to toss it a day or 2 later because it's started to rot.   These are super convenient.
