Happy Hump Day Botters:
It is a chilly 20 degrees here in Mississippi with a high of 40 degrees today. Yay!!! Wore my long coat, gloves, scarves etc. today. This will be my last detox day off carbs and it has gone pretty good for me. I feel so much better. My eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
Snack: Quest Protein Bar
Lunch: Protein Shake
Snack: Fiber One Bar
Dinner: Protein Shake
Snack: Vitatop
Exercise: Bike
I hope everybody has an awesome "hump" day and remembers to keep those vitamins going down. Drink plenty of liquids today. Those of you in the coldest part of the states, my warm thoughts are with you.
Chilly here, too. But tomorrow the wind chill is supposed to be in the negative numbers....gonna wear triple layers !
my eats for today......already had vits
breakfast.........1/2 protein shake and 1 oz. cheese
snack.......?
lunch..............1/2 protein shake, turkey and cheese roll-up
snack.............whatever fruit is served in cafeteria....usually apples or oranges
dinner.............New Mexican burrito place opened in town....going to check out burritos.....it is a take out place so I am stopping on my way home. I live in a town of 1800 people, so this is a BIG deal ! We have a couple of family owned cafés, two convenience stores, a Dairy Queen, and two months ago, a Krispy, Krunchy Chicken place opened in town. We have limited fast food in town. There is a town about 10 miles away that has more options, but it only has 12,000 people....our nearest "city" is Amarillo and it is an hours drive.
snack...........I will decide on this after I eat my burrito......it might not happen tonight ! ☺️
i hope all have a great day !!
Good morning BOTTs.
I know better than to complain, but not having a winter out here is really getting old. For years, we at least got some rain during the winter months and cold enough weather to wear winter clothing and boots for a change. It's going to be 73* today but it's warming up to 81-82* later this week and weekend. We are getting a lot of wind coming from the east, which is coming from the desert for us. It makes the air super dry and there is static electricity everywhere. We even spray our hair brushed with anti-static spray (for clothing!) to keep our hair from sticking up like we rubbed a helium balloon against our whole head.
I can only imagine the polar opposite of waking up to below-freezing weather every day for weeks or even months(?). Being snowed-in sounds fun but it sure would make it a constant struggle to keep the paychecks coming in. I wish you well and I wish you warmth. Stay safe.
Breakfast: Deep Chocolate Vitatop
Snack: 15 almonds and about a half hour later SF hot chocolate
Lunch: 2 boiled eggs & 3 strawberries
Snack: greek yogurt
Dinner: skinless chicken tenders with buffalo sauce and celery w/ LF ranch dressing
Snack: Deep Chocolate Vitatop (beware...addictive but delicious)
I just had to call the "help-desk" (for computer issues) and I asked the guy where he was located...he said Pontiac, Michigan. I said, "BRRRRRR" I asked what the degrees was there....he said "one". He was very friendly and we literally talked about the weather for a few minutes. I know it's old news for many of you, but it's just fascinating to me about all that goes along with the frozen weather. Ice skating on a lake in Michigan...just wow.
Okay...I will stop my rambling.
Have a wonderful day.
Going for a walk or two on my work breaks.

Hi Gaby. I saw where they are having a time keeping the ice hockey rink cold enough in LA? Day of game it is suppose to be 82 degrees outside. I bet that would be awesome to go see. Quick tip. In a hurry and static is your problem then get a little bottle of hand lotion. Works great on pants sticking to your legs (rub on legs) and I have been know to put a little in my hands, rub together and smooth my hair out too.
Hi Ladies,
It has been months since I have posted, and I am trying to get back on track! November was rough, I ended up traveling 3 out of the 4 weeks, and toss in Thanksgiving, it wasn't good! I fell off track, and I really need to get back.
I have been eating bad and too big of portions, but overall I have not gained much. I just feel like crap. Its freezing here in Wisconsin, and I don't want to do much of anything, I have started my new role as a Marketing Analyst for the company I have been with for the last 3 years. My replacement doesn't start till next week, so I am trying to juggle both positions at once.
Here are my eats for today... Really bad, but I have to be accountable
Breakfast: Breakfast sandwich (Canadian bacon, egg on an English Muffin)
Snack: Granola Bar
Snack: Small bag of gold fish
Lunch: Spagehtti and meatballs (almost a whole lunch plate) with Minestrone soup
Snack: Proceeded to have a bite sized almond joy and milkyway after lunch
Dinner: Grilled Chicken salad on the menu tonight.
I think next week will start a 5 day pouch, and cleanse of some kind. I am just low on energy, bloated and feeling Blah!
Vitamins are at least in!!
Have a great day everyone, and cheers to getting back on track!
Melissa
Hello,
So far so good, today I had. It's interesting, since I go back on track, my hunger has pretty much disappeared. The head hunger is always lingering in the background, but I rarely feel physically hungry when my stomach is growling. I guess this whole protein thing works! The first few days was tough though.
Coffee, coffee, coffee-I might have a bit of a problem!
Breakfast-I stopped at Tim Hortons and got an egg and cheese sandwich on a flat bread and more coffee. I was in a rush this morning and decided it was better then starving and going for junk food once I hit the office.
Snack- raspberries
Lunch-2 slices of turkey breast and a slice of cheese and a Weigh****chers frozen soup.
Dinner-I didn't defrost anything, so I am not sure. I have been really bad about planning dinners this week. I will probably do something with ground beef because I can nuke it to defrost. Maybe bun-less hamburgers and baked fries. It feels kind of bad, but it's not, once I eat the hamburger, I am too full to eat many fries. I still have great restriction even 8 years later.
Snack- protien shake made with almond milk
I remembered to take my vitamins today, I am sore from Yoga last night, but today is a weight lifting day, I will suffer through!
