Back On Track Together

Iris, I feel for you. That's a lot to deal with. One of my step-sons has a 6 year old son with autism. He attends regular school, but they also have a program that takes him out of his regular class for about an hour a day to work with his special needs. He has the attention span of a gnat much of the time so it's a huge challenge for him to learn. On the other hand, he's as sweet and is the kind of kid who "never met a stranger". He's very friendly and talkative with EVERYONE. That is also part of his challenge. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as will kid-ette. ::Hugs::

Question for ya, do you make your own protein shakes or do you buy pre-made? protein shakes?
I make mine, with powder/mix & water and ice. I am looking forward to doing some new recipes for a shake, but I have to get almond milk, I am going to try it for sure, this wk. A vanilla protein suppl. I hope it's good, so I can have two good ones, that are homemade with the powder mixes.
jbug.
I make my own. I use 1 1/2 scoops of Unjury Chocolate Splendor powder with 1 tablespoon PB powder and 1/2 frozen banana plus about 1 cup water and 6 cubes of ice. I call this a chunky monkey shake. This has about 34 grams of protein and about 215 calories. It is quite yummy. If I do not have the PB powder then I use peanut butter S.F. syrup from Da Vinci Syrups.
