Good Morning Botters:

It was crappy at my house last night.  Lost the internet and cable at 6:30 pm, lost electricity at 9:30 PM.  Electricity came back on at 11:30 PM but continued to go off every 15 minutes.  I had the alarm system company calling, my husband's job was calling and now I think it blew the compressor on my heat and air unit upstairs and the temperature is 9 degrees outside.  So, how was your evening last night and your morning so far?  Mine stinks....Food wise, I did pack my daily fare before I left to take my son to school this morning and the school just text to say that the power is still going off and on and they will make a decision on whether or not they will dismiss early today plus, I get to go and have my boobs smashed this morning between two cold steel plates for my mammogram.   Damn, I need to stop this day over again.

Breakfast:  luke warm coffee with miralax (tried to heat in between power outages)

2nd Breakfast:  Oatmeal at work (good and hot)

Snack:  Fiber One Bar

Lunch:  Something in town

Snack:  Fiber One Bar

Dinner:  Veggie Chili

Snack:  Deep Vitatop Chocolate

Exercise:  I think I will just try to rest tonight if we have power

I hope everybody's day is starting off better than mine and we all end up better at the end of the day.  Remember those vits and fluids.

ouch ouch.. shiiiiit.... sorry your days is really bad...

Compared to yours - mine is fine.. I think my cold broke and I am able to cough now.. (last night if I ty to cough I could not breathe - kind off scary... chest spasming thing, gasping for air) Today I was hacking away.. my chest and throat hurts but at least I can breathe...

I was hurting so badly that I took 3 lortabs last night.... The 5 mg but still.. The strong cough syrup has codeine - to relax the muscles - so I though that should helped. It did .   I was taking them 2 hrs apart and the third one and the hot shower finally did the trick.  I went to bed.. and my cat slept with me... we slept at least 6 hrs and I woke up without feeling like I am suffocating.. (last few days). Now - Every day should be a better day...

My eats last night were horrible.. but that is over and it is new day... right?

eats:

coffee x 3

soup?

cold cuts and pickles

more soup with chicken...

hot and sour soup...

peanuts...

dinner: not sure...

Glad you're doing better, H.a.l.a.  Love the hot and sour soup when I have a cold...really opens up the nasal cavities :)

Tess -  (((hugs))) Ask them to heat those plates up (at least blow on them for a few minutes!!!!!)

Our schools opened on a 2 hour delay (that they announced yesterday before the kids were dismissed). Dear husband works for the school system. Do you have any clue how hard it was to leave the fellows at home still snuggled under the covers when I left for work this morning? I did start the car when I went out to walk the dogs before I left so it was nice and toasty when I hopped in to come to work. I guess that was a plus for dog walking in the cold this morning. Where my son lives in VA, they were having a planned power outage last night at 10. We have power and no frozen pipes. YEAH!!

Take a moment today to check on your neighbors and their pets. A simple gesture may help to save a life.

My plan is fairly simple today:

Commute: COFFEE!!!

Breakfast: Bacon, egg & cheese sandwich  (brought in by a co-worker for all of us)

Lunch:  Tortilla with Peanut butter & sliced apple

snack: Greek Yogurt

Dinner: Chili w/ sour cream and cheese

Gotta find a way to get more (decaf - no count) fluids in today. Too cold to really "want" my normal iced tea. I think I'll try just sitting a big water bottle on my desk and making myself fini**** before I leave for the afternoon. Yall stay warm and safe this afternoon.

Good afternoon BOTTS.

I am sending warm thoughts and hugs to all who are cold.  Tess...that's just a ****ty way to spend the night and start out the day!  There's just no two ways about it!  My house isn't big...but come one, come all!!  Just bring sleeping bags and pillows!  At lunch time today it was 73 degrees.  My mind is just blown at your tenacity to endure those cold temperatures.  Strong and brave women, you all are.  You should all be proud.  I guess it's all part of being able to live where you actually get to experience the 4 seasons...that is so beautiful.  I only get to catch a glimpse of it in pictures and tv.  Actually hearing about your lives and your experiences with the seasonal changes is remarkable.  Thank you for sharing.

Breakfast:  greek yogurt

Snack:  4 veggie-chik-n nuggets

Lunch:  Protein shake

Snack:  2 hard boiled eggs

Dinner:  steamed fish with salsa

Snack:  Deep chocolate vitatop (I can hardly wait!)

Have a warm and safe evening, friends.

Ohhh...and Hala...thanks for the info about the weather and whether the cold meant there was always snow.  The blac**** sounds crazy scary.  Be safe.

Another day with no exercise.  The Wii didn't work and I braved the cold and bad roads only to find out the local YMCA was closed.  I should have called before I left the house.  At least I didn't snack all day today, I had more will power!

I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier!  I will just do what I did when I first had surgery.  I walked around the loop in my living room and kitchen after meals, then it was only 10 minutes but now it can be longer.  I'll just borrow my son's new IPOD and listen to it.
