Thanks for the encouragement, Tess...always welcome.  I need to order some more protein.  Should've ordered it when I ordered my PB2 powdered peanut butter.  I'm going to mix it in my shakes with the hopes that I can taste it since I can't taste regular peanut butter.  I also have a recipe from MFP for Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal muffins with no flour or sugar, and PB2 instead of regular peanut butter.  Oh, the goodies that come to mind when you can't taste a thing :)

Hi Shelia, Good luck and I hope you will not need another treatment.  The taste thing is a crap... After a few of my surgery -the anesthesia affected me that way and for a day or 2 every thing tasted like a grey mass..  Now I have a cold ..and that also change how things taste... I hope your changes are just temporary and soon you can taste foods.. HUGS

Hi, H.a.l.a.  Thank you for the well-wishes!  I do hope you're doing better today, and stay warm.  Speaking of the taste issue...I just had the prettiest frittata for breakfast ...turkey pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, peppers and crowned with RF mozzarella!  Might as well have eaten the styrofoam carton that the eggs came in!  NO TASTE WHATSOEVER!!!  I tried sucking on fresh lemon slices last night to help stimulate the salivary glands....no taste there either :(

I'm going to check with my radiologist to see if he has any ideas, because from what I've read online from others who've experienced this, this could go on for 6 months or longer!

I have severe cabin fever and snacked all day long!  I was back on trac****il today.  I have major cabin fever.  We got over a foot of snow and the wind chill was -40 today so I couldn't even go outside!  I know I am going to be stuck inside at least one more day; therefore, I have made a plan of attack.  No more snacking! I went for salty things today.  Tomorrow I am going to dig out the Wii and see if it still works.  I used to have so much fun playing that thing.  The mayor has declared a state of emergency making it illegal for me to get out to the gym.  I am so close to being back into onederland!
