Back On Track Together
Hi I'm new!
Hi Everyone,
I have been waiting for the new year to start so that I could get back on track. It's great to know there is a group that I can join and do this together. I have had 2 surgeries, the Lap Band in 2008 BCBS Federal covered it, lost 17 lbs and gained it back. In 2009 had the VSG self pay lost 30 lbs with the Sleeve but have gained back most of it. I was going for another revision but was denied I was really, really upset, but now I believe the Lord knows what He is doing. I want to see if my Sleeve will still work, if I get back to the basics. My problem is that I love the bad carbs, white bread, tortillas, potatoes, rice...... I am also an emotional eater. I don't like to exercise, but I know that I have to suck it up and do it anyway. I appreciate you all accepting me in this group!!! Happy New Year to all!!!
Thanks Tess. I'm having a heck of time right now. Started a new job and I feel so overwhelmed having to learn new systems and I feel so inadequate for the job. It's making me feel like a failure and I want to quit. But, I know that I will feel worse if I do. I am fortunate that my supervisor is kind and she says I can do it.
Welcome to the group. When I try to change things - I change one thing a time... I.e. Initially I change my diet, and once that is under control - I will start exercising.. When I try to do both of those at the same time - i get so hungry and justify "white carb" - "I can have some because I worked so hard". But if my carbs craving are under control - I have a easier way to resist temptation after working out...

Thanks H.a.I.a.B, it's because of you that I found this group. I appreciate your welcome and advice. It's what I am going to do too. One thing at a time, changing my eating habits. Then I will go to the next step after I have that no white carbs under control. I will then schedule in the exercising....Thanks again for the valuable information!!!
