Happy New Year ! This is the year that I......

Let us all say this together !  This is the year that I lose my regain and reach my goal !   Now does that sound like the same new year resolution that you have made for the past umpteenth years ??  Well....let's work together and make it happen in 2014 !!  Together WE CAN !   We all know the rules, so let's follow them....if we slip up, get back on track the next meal.  Come on this board daily and let's get to know each other !  

My eats for today.....breakfast........breakfast burrito, coffee and miralax

                                 Snack............grapes

                                 Lunch.............cabbage and black-eyed peas.....limited cornbread and ham

                                 Snack.............?

                                 Dinner.............same as lunch

i hope all of you lose your regain and have a Happy and Blessed 2014 !

2014 is going to be a good year. I can feel it in my bones (of course that could be low levels of vitamin D and some arthritis ---but I feel something deep in the bones nonetheless).

It's been a nice, peaceful and easygoing day here in the Pope household. Not many signs of Christmas are left except for an occasional stray evergreen needle from the tree. I posted on Facebook that I spent New Years Eve with a three-some....my washer, dryer and dishwasher. I think I almost have the house whipped back in shape.

It's one of those days where I don't feel like eating. Normally I'd kill for that feeling but having to take Augmentin every 6 hours for the infection of Sunday's dog bite drama means I have to have something substantial on my belly or else I get barfy sick. Thank God for chicken salad and whole wheat bread.

Today's plan looks like :

Breakfast: Chicken salad on whole wheat & augmentin

Lunch#1:  Chicken salad on whole wheat & augmentin

Lunch#2:  Chicken Salad on whole wheat & augmentin

Dinner:   Bowl of Hoppin John at Moma's  & augmentin

 

The dogs and I did have a really nice long walk earlier today. We probably did 45 minutes. Of course the puppy was ready to crash after about 10 minutes so he crashed in his small carrier that I put in the wagon. I'm going to be one of those crazy old ladies that walks their dog in a stroller. It was a nice walk but between the walk and the housework my joints are SCREAMING.

 

I'm going to finish out my new years day propped up on the couch watching the birds and squirrels on the porch feeder. We all need some extra peace and harmony in our daily lives.

I am all in!!! Eating my Oscar Meyer grilled chicken strips, Fiber one bars at breakfast, string cheeses. Feeling good and focusing on becoming healthy and happy. Being present in each moment and appreciating my life.

I love every single post that I just read on here!  What a bunch of fabulous ladies!  Together WE CAN!!! 

I have so enjoyed getting to know you all and I look forward to strengthening our bonds with support, understanding, and laughter!  We must have laughter!  It's amazing how personalities blossom out of words that we read and write on this board.
