Good Morning Botters: I'm Baaaaack!
I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and got through the holidays without to much pain on the scale. I was up 3 lbs. after Christmas but today I am officially back down those 3 lbs. Yay! The new year is coming fast so let's decide some goals for the next few months. Matter of fact, I will post this on a new discussion question as I have several of them today. My eats today are back to normal, they are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
2nd Breakfast: Oatmeal
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Quest Protein Bar
Snack: Fiber One Bar
Dinner: BBQ Chicken Lean Pocket
Snack: Deep Chocolate Vitatop
Exercise: Bike
I hope everybody has a great Monday! Remember those vits and fluids and keep them coming!
I managed to stay the same through the holidays. Not sure if that's a blessing or a curse...just so the scales start reflecting some changes in the coming month will be the deciding factor. I've realized over the holidays that I've become exceptionally lazy. Guess I know what I'll be posting on the goals thread.
The new puppy is FABULOUS. He's so stinking sweet. Of course he loves aggravation the Terrier but then again she deserves every minute of that. She's adapted very quickly to him and seems to be happy.
I managed to get bit on my right hand by a friend's dog yesterday and ended up at urgent care. Tetanus shot and antibiotics to see me through. I'm just that talented. We had a late Christmas dinner at my Mom's last night---I told them I was willing to go to extremes to not have to wash dishes. lol
Back to work today so I'm in my happy place. The eating plan looks like this:
Commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Blueberry french toast (co-worker's birthday celebration)1/2 portion
Lunch: Mexican chicken
snack: 1 minature cupcake
Dinner: Steak & Eggs (David's cooking since I have 1 functional hand for a little while)
I've got to get my vitamins in when I get home this afternoon. I had them out on the counter and forgot to take them before I left home. duh. Exercise is going to be a walk around the neighborhood and playing ball with the dogs.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Great job on not gaining during the holidays, that is a blessing! I would love to have a puppy but hubby said that the cat would not appreciate the dog. He is probably right. Big Louie would probably eat the puppy, he has already tangled with a raccoon and had to have a shot and 9 stitches in his head. He is one tough kitty. Sorry about the dog bite too! You have had an exciting holiday. I know the New Year is coming quick and the time is now to make decisions on getting that final weight off. You have had a lot on you these last six months so hopefully you will come out with a bang in the new year. I think we all need to get our GROOVE ON!
Good morning! I came back from disneyland and stayed the same I was very happy! And the last few days the scale has been nice to me! I had a stressful weekend, the hotel we stayed at charged us with a smoking fee, which is silly because I have never smoked a day in my life, anyways I kept my cool and did not turn to the stocking stash. I am pretty proud of myself! Anywho my eats for the day:
B: whole wheat toast with butter and a bit of chunky pb, red apple with pb to dip (might not have it after all), and coffee
l: I'm not sure
s: string cheese or laughing cow cheese wedge with triskets
d: salad bar night with grilled chicken.
Need to get in my water and I have been bad with vitamins since thanksgiving.....
Have a great day guys.,
Good Afternoon BOTTs.
I have had some kind of a bug that had completely knocked me on my butt since last Tuesday. Today is my first day back at work and honestly, if there was any way possible, I would still be home for another couple of days until I'm completely over it. But...duty calls so I am making the best of it. I have been holding the couch down for almost a week, all bundled up in blankets, drinking hot tea. Christmas is kind of a fog...but my parents and my kids were with me for a good part of the day so it was beautiful. I haven't even thought about stepping on the scale which is very out of character for me because many years ago, I was bulimic and became obsessed with the scale, getting on then off then on again, several times a day. I have long since recovered from the bulimia but the scale still got a lot more exercise than was necessary. I will force myself to step on it this week to know where I stand, to be honest, I think I have probably stayed the same. 2014 is the year for losing my regain. : )
I know that it's impossible to have all my ducks in a row before I can do for myself, that's just not realistic, but, things are headed in a healthy direction: my daughter is doing better emotionally, my depression is somewhat on a healthy level, my mom's slowly healing from her broken back, and now if I can just get all the stars and planets aligned, I will be good to go!!! Honestly, I have learned so much from you beautiful, caring bunch of people, that together, I know we will all get healthier in the coming new year. "Protein Forward!" "Just get moving!" "Drink tha****er, it's not poison!" "Keep up on those vits and calcium!" "Listen to your body!" "Let the 'tool' work!"
Now...having said that...
Breakfast: Breakfast jack minus the top of the bun
Snack: vitamin C cough drops
Lunch: Protein Shake
Snack: continuation of cough drops
Dinner: If I have enough energy, I will bake some fish...if not, than another protein shake it is.
Snack: I will probably be asleep...calories saved? ;)
Just a little stretching today...anything else makes me cough my head off right now.
Ahhh....I just had a fond memory of simply coughing and not worrying about peeing my pants!!!! (I apologize if that is TMI but the fact that I had to break down and buy a pack of urinary incontinence pads because of this dang cough just chaps my ass) Pun initially not intended, but if the shoe fits?!?!
Iris, I'm so happy you got a puppy!!!!!! I look forward to hearing about puppy antics from you! What's his (or her?) name?
Tess, thanks for the reminder about the vits and fluids, I'm a little behind today.
Gaby
Gaby, so sorry you have spent your time off with a cold. I hope when you do step on the scale that you will show a lost. That will at least give you something to look forward to and a good beginning too. I will keep my fingers cross for you. I hope you recover quick as possible. You don't want to be sick on the first of the year that would be a bummer. Glad your daughter is doing better and your mom is recovering well. Feel better tomorrow if possible.
