I think we have all done this mainly to decarb and get the nasty sugars out of our system and to reduce our cravings.  Good luck to you today.  The first two days are the worst but day 3-5 will be fine.  Some times we even drop a few pounds but you have to slowly build back on day five your good diet or you will gain those pounds back.  Let us know how you are doing.  We will cheer you on.

I will cheer you on and I will be on proteins - decarbing diet myself starting Jan 2nd.  Until then I am going to maintain very good diet - but I will allow myself some fruits and more carbs than I usually do.  I did cut out all the alcohol on the 24th,  (mainly wine) - so I know I am already doing good... I still eat some chocolate or fruits with whipped cream..  but that would be gone on Jan 2-3rd.

Just celebrated my 5 year surgiversary a week ago. I've had some regain after my twin pregnancy. My boys are 22 months old now and I still have the baby weight. It's been so long since I've been on track that I'm having to teach myself how to eat the bariatric way again. Going back to the basics with the 5 day pouch test starting tomorrow. So, I'll be right here with you. Hoping I don't fizzle out. Good luck to you!

Hi there, I'm new here. I had gastric bypass in 2002, lost 100 lbs, kept it off for the most of 5 years. Menopause , empty nest, oh so many changes later I'm 40 lbs over my healthy weight. I'm scared and feel I could slip right back into that fat girl stretchy pants going no where girl. I can't seem to stop my sugar addiction. Please give advice, and tell what the 5 day pouch is. Thank you.. Jen
