Good Morning Botters:

I AM EXHAUSTED!  I got maybe 1 hour of sleep last night and that was after taking two tylenol PM's.  I can not keep this up.  My children and my sister and husband are coming tonight to celebrate the new year and all I want to do is crash.  I am at work right now and I am going to Memphis shortly and see if I can find something at the Health Food Store that can help me with the menopause systems and my sleeping problem.  Wish me luck.  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

2nd Breakfast:  Oatmeal

Snack:  Fiber One Bar

Lunch:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Banana

Dinner:  Cheese Pizza

Snack:  Nutella Pinwheels

Exercise:  Trying to keep my eyes open and my brain functioning.

I hope everybody has a happy and safe New Year's Eve.  Remember to take those vits and please drive carefully if you are out and about this evening and watch out for the other guy/gal too!

David asked me last night how I'd like to spend the evening ringing in the New Year....I opted for favorite pjs, redbox movies and a foot massage. We are the party animals of the east coast. lol It's been a memorable year to say the least. I thank God we've survived it and are here to tell the tale.

Finished out the year with having my labs drawn this morning. Just a little step in making sure 2014 is all about a healthy and happy ME!!

Today's plan is simple:

breakfast: Panera Bagel (1/2 at the most) with Cream cheese and coffee

Lunch: Salad

snack: Yogurt & Granola

Dinner:  Whatever my man fixes me.

Exercise is several walks and ball playing sessions with the dogs. I do feel a difference in these extra trips up and down the stairs (a good difference) especially since the little guy has to go the minute he starts howling in his crate.

We named the puppy Captain. He's now 8 weeks old. He's a full blooded Black lab with the huge paws and big block head. He's sweet, smart and full of himself. (He's me in dog form!!!!!!!) He is giving the Daphne (The Cairn Terrorist) an education. She is very attentive to him and cannot stand to hear him howl in his crate. Luckily the only time he voices his displeasure is when he needs to go potty and for about the first minute that he's put up after play time or bedtime. The boys across the street are homeschooled and have "negotiated" their dog walking services during the work day....it's a good deal for all of us. Of course they don't realize that they're math unit is getting ready to focus on money management and that their Mom will be alloting the profits of their dog walking business accordingly. Kids are never to young to learn the value of a dollar.

Hope everyone has a great New Year's Eve and a very prosperous 2014.

Good morning BOTTs.

Tess, I feel for you so much!! I'm not quite thrown into the wrath of menopause yet but I have always had issues with not being able to sleep/not being able to stay asleep.  My brain just does not shut off.  I take trazodone and it's a blessing for me.  It works well without making me drowsy in the mornings.  I went through months of night-sweats after my daughter was born and I would often wake up just drenched. It felt disgusting and it took several months for my hormones to settle down but by the grace of God, they went away!  I hope I never experience another one!!  Good luck for finding your "magic" pill, potion, lotion, root, or whatever it takes to bring you some peace and much needed rest.

Iris, "Captain" is a wonderful name for a big beautiful black lab puppy!!!  He sounds delightful!  What a fresh new beginning for a new year.

Breakfast:  greek yogurt

Snack: sf hot chocolate

Lunch: weigh****chers garlic chicken spring rolls

Snack: vitatop chocolate

Dinner: tilapia and veggies

Snack: string cheese and apple

Still just stretching a little...no need to stir up the coughing monster within me right now.

Have a peaceful night, my friends, and Cheers to healthy and happy new beginnings for the future.

Happy New Year!

Gaby

Can relate to the exhaustion, but mine is from traveling for eight days !  Traveling about 1200 miles in 3 days of it.   We got home about 7 last night and today has been spent washing bedding, towels, and our clothes and cleaning house, since we didn't have time after last weekends 30 guests with 17 spending the night to clean up before I had to travel to Dallas (8 hours away) for my annual check up after WLS.  The Dr. says I am doing great, even with a weight gain of 18 lbs. in a year.  My blood work results are not in, yet, but I feel they will be good.  Just got to work on the regain.....that is why I joined this group.   Have been very bad with food choices over the holidays, but, I will recover from that.   I am excited to get to use my fitbit......the real exercise starts next week when I go back to work!

I hope all of you have a great New Year's Eve ( we are curling up to watch movies). And an even Healthier New Year !!

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!
