Good Morning Botters:
I got full feeling back in mouth and I can tell you there is pain/soreness? Wow! Been a long time since I have had to get a crown. I had shakes for lunch and dinner last night for fear of chewing on that side. I am probably going to have that again today. I ate my oatmeal this morning but it felt weird in my mouth. If this keeps up, I might make it through Christmas with a weight loss. My eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
2nd Breakfast: Oatmeal
Snack: Fiber One Brownie
Lunch: Shake
Snack: Fiber One Brownie
Dinner: Shake
Snack: Pudding
Exercise: Bike
I hope you all have a great day and remember those vits and fluids.
You know you may have identified a new weight loss/management techniques...schedule major dental work for holidays. As much as I hate going to the dentist, it just might work. hmmmm....
Had another wonderful night with my boys. The Sloppy Joe casserole was once again a huge hit. An empty casserole dish was proof. My oldest and his girlfriend leave tonight to go back "home"---boo hiss!! I am so grateful that he's in such a good place with his life, relationship and work. That's probably the greatest gift a mother can ever witness. My family is a blessing beyond measure.
No changes much with the StepFather. Emergency surgery may be on the horizon to deal with the intestinal blockage. It's been 5 days since there was any movement in there. Can't risk a ruptured bowel. At this point we're simply taking it hour by hour...Day by day almost seems like to much of a stretch. Our family firmly believes that God is Good and prayers of peace and comfort are being answered.
Plan for today:
commute: coffee
Breakfast: 1/2 bagel with cream cheese
Lunch: leftovers from yesterday's office party
snack: see lunch plan
Dinner: Breakfast for dinner (special request by youngest son)
exercise is going to be a walk at lunch time. The sun is shining here and it's supposed to be a fairly nice day.
Hope yall all have a great day-
Iris

I guess I will look at this as a benefit for my holiday eating but when he told me to "baby it" I saw my salty nuts bars and rolo turtles go out the door....I didn't need them but I sure was looking forward to sampling a couple. I am so happy that you have such an enjoyable time with your son. Sorry that it is ending so soon but the memories of the time will be priceless. Is your stepdad eating anything or is it just IV fluids right now? There may not be much in the bowels right now if it is just IV fluids. I will continue to pray for him daily for healing and comfort. Have a wonderful day.
Good morning all,
Today seems hard to plan what I'm going to eat. My fridge is stocked with all friendly choices... 👍 and for some reason I'm not feeling hungry this morning (grateful) it's been a while sense I can say that. I do notice I go in spurts of high protein intake days then a day of not hungry and so on. I like my not hungry days it seems those are the days I don't deal with dreaded head hunger taste bud cravings 😈 I do have to say though I have channeled those days into creating alternatives to fit my dietary needs.
Any hoo...
lite n fit Greek pineapple yogur w/table spoon protein granola
homemade chili
2 eggs scrambled with shredded cheese
muscle milk
homemade pecan crust s/fpumpkin pie
s/f wonky jello cup
45 min elliptical
I crushed half cup to whole cup of pecans added melted two tablespoons butter and half cup of Splenda patted it in pie pan baked it 400 for like five then took it out patted it again the butter got bubbly put in oven till filling was mixed it's pretty good alternative 168 cal a slice hardly no sugars and only four proteins so it's far from pouch first friendly but. My holiday splurge
Good morning BOTTs.
We got a teensy bit of rain last night so I busted out my tall brown boots to wear today. HAHA....any excuse to vary the work wardrobe even a little bit. When I backed my car out of the driveway, the spot where I parked my car was still dry...just to let you know how much it did (or didn't?) rain.
Breakfast: greek yogurt
Snack: SF hot chocolate
Lunch: Not sure about the rest of the day. Cupboards were pretty bare.
I will definitely try to stick with high protein "something". I have errands to run for work today, so I will probably swing thru a fast food place and buy a salad with chicken slices (Wendy's or Carl's Jr. are the best choices)
It just kills me that salads are more expensive than just about any other item on the menu, so we get (financially) screwed by trying to keep it as healthy as possible when we use those places for convenience. Rant over.
Taking the stairs up and down the hospital (work) today will have to suffice for my exercise today.
Have a great day, friends.
