Good morning BOTTs.

That is such a drastic change in temperature!!  Wow!!!   We were supposed to have a big drop here in temp but it's still hovering around 70 during the day times.

I need to go shopping (grocery shopping, that is!) because it's slim pickins in the kitchen as far as sticking with proteins.

Breakfast:  protein shake

Lunch: protein shake

snack:  granola bar (best choice possible currently)

Dinner:  fish and veggies

snack:  greek yogurt (if I can make it to the grocery store after work)

Water, water, water is my main objective today.  I really get out of the routine when I am out of it for several days.

walking today during work breaks.

Have a great day, friends.

I hit up Walmart like night and spent $140.00 worth on groceries.  I thought my hubby was going to faint.  Oh well, the cupboard was bare and we got to eat, plus I needed cat food and litter and that don't come cheap along with four flood lights.  So actually, before taxes I spent about $90.00 on food.  Not bad at all......

Years ago, I remember calling Costco the "Hundred dollar club" because you couldn't get out of there for less than $100.  Well, now Walmart's like that now.  I can't seem to get out of there for less than $100!

Okay....that was an interesting remark made.  Don't you just love family drama when it doesn't involve you!  We kept ours low keyed this year, everybody showed up......

This weather rollercoaster is crazy this year. We had the thickest fog that I've ever seen Sunday afternoon. It just rolled in off the water and covered everything. WEIRD.

The realization that Christmas is a litle over 3 weeks away has suddenly sunk in today. AGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! How is that possible? way to many things on my list to be done. I've made the monumental decision to just let it go....We'll be out of town for most of the holiday so I'm not going all out on my decorating this year. We're picking up the tree tomorrow night (really good sale til Wednesday at a local builders supply place). The kids can decorate it however they'd like it. I'm doing minimal baking and cooking ---just a few gift items and a work buffet or 2. Thanksgiving was so relaxed. Every year I set myself up for some monumental, over the top perfect celebration for Christmas (regardless of budget) and get completely lost and overwhelmed in the process. Yep, we're going back to basics in more ways than one this year.

Today's looking really good:

Commute : Coffee  (I remembered it this morning)

Breakfast:  Peanut butter on whole wheat toast

lunch:  Broccoli & Cheddar soup (pretty bland)

snack:  Coffee

Dinner:  Moma's house---Beans & Cornbread  -the fellas have to work on the tractor afterwork so she said she was feeding us!!.

I've been sipping my decaf tea all day. I've got the vitamins in for the day. Workout for the day is going to be HOUSEWORK. Might even turn up the stereo and waltz around the house with my handsome fellow tonight. Our celebration last night was shared with the kids...we bought our house. David has rented this house since it was first built. Everything lined up for us to make the move from renting to owning. Life is good and our family has so much to be thankful for...especially this year. In the last 6 months we've gotten married, gotten full custody of "our" 14 year old son, bought our home and seen my Mom through some tough health issues. I'd say it's been a busy year.
