Good Morning Botters:
I hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. I know I ate too much and spent way too much on Black Friday but I had an awesome time with family and friends and I got right back on the losing trail on Saturday afternoon. (I had leftovers for lunch, Yum!) I did not check to see what I gain only to see where I was this morning after cutting back and the good news is that I am weighing the same, Yay!!! So, my eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
2nd Breakfast: Oatmeal
Snack: Fiber One Cake/Bar
Lunch: Quest Protein Bar
Snack: 1/2 Granola Bar
Dinner: Lean Pocket Garlic Chicken
Snack: Deep Chocolate Vitatop
Exercise: Bike
I hope you all start the week out with an awesome story ready to be shared. Remember to take those vits. Have a great day!
Hey BOTT's,
I'm back... coming up on 6 years post op and I need some SERIOUS help getting back on track. I'm up to 234 lbs, after my lowest of 175. Let's just say life kicked my butt and I completely lost track of taking care of myself. I'm scared. really really really scared that I can't do this, can't get back to a healthy weight. I saw recent pics of myself and I could just cry! I swore I'd NEVER be the person who ruined their own WLS. But here I am.
So, I need lots of help and support. How/where do I get started? I kicked off the day with 30 minutes of aerobic walking.
Heather
Hi Heather: You have taken the first step by coming back to OH for help. We have all been where you are at. You can get back to your 175 but you have got to make changes in your eating plan. 1. Go back to the basics. Protein first, veggies second, fruit last. 2. No drinking with meals or less than 30 minutes afterwards. 3. Up your proteins to around 80-100 grams a day, reduce your carbs to around 50 net grams a day and keep your calories below 1000, 800 is optima. 4. Journal your food everyday to keep you wise and aware. 5. Find some kind of activity you like to get your body moving for 30 minutes a day. (walk, dance, yoga, hit a punching bag, whatever keeps you going for 30 minutes a day) 6. Cut out all white products, sugar, flour, pasta, (no bread, noodles, cakes or cookies with processed sugar in them) 7. Come here daily to lurk or post but just to keep aware of what is going on. You can do this and you will find all kinds of motivation here on this site. We have a great group that will give you all the help that you ask for. Good luck to you.
Can't believe that Thanksgiving is over and done with already. Back to the daily routine. My scales didn't budge this weekend ----up or down so I'll take that as a major victory. Ours was a weekend full of rest and relaxation. I never want to do Thanksgiving any differently - ever again.
Today is looking like:
Commute: &*^#(! walked out of the house and left my coffee home
Breakfast: 1/2 country ham biscuit & small cup of coffee
Lunch: Lean Cuisine
snack: coffee
snack #2: cheese stick & almonds
Dinner: Seafood (celebration dinner with my Man!!)
Planning on firing up the dvd in the living room tonight and attempting a Yoga dvd. I've got the vitamins in and working on my decaf tea.
Hope everyone is off to a good start for December.

Good afternoon BOTTs.
What a wonderful Thanksgiving this was! I was in a state of bliss with my family altogether at my home. Still smiling!
I ate too much and spent too much money, too, but it was all wonderful. I ate mindfully so I enjoyed it all but most importantly, the family time. Oh man I just can't believe how fast the kids grew up. My daughter is the youngest and she will be 17 in March! I am to the point that I don't even want to blink because I don't want to miss a thing!
Breakfast: sf hot chocolate & a granola bar
Lunch: spaghetti with ground turkey over broccoli (had to get creative in the cafeteria!)
Snack: protein shake
Dinner: fish with veggies
Snack: slice of no sugar added pumpkin pie minus the crust
My spirits are good (even tho the first week of every month sucks for me at work...just super busy) and my Christmas lights are up on my house, my family is healthy, my pets are healthy, and I have wonderful friends. Life is good.
Have a great evening, friends.
Gaby
Good evening, BOTT friends,
So happy that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was also special, spent with approximately 30 or so family members which is our tradition. Everyone is assigned to bring their specialty dish (mine is ham:). I took a tiny spoonful of everything except sweet dishes (like yams) and did the 2 tbsps oyster stuffing as I planned. I felt really sleepy halfway through my meal and had to go lie down in my sisters' guest room for awhile, but felt better after an hour or so. Then I tasted a small sliver of pecan pie, and that was it for me. No leftovers, so nothing to call my name from the fridge :) Still at 169 lbs, or 2 lbs from my lowest post- op wt. of 167lbs.
I went for my post-op appt this morning (their scales read 2 lbs heavier, but I was fully clothed and had my ankle boots on). Pathology report was good...no cancer found in the lymph nodes, Thank You Jesus! I will be having a round of radioactive iodine though, to kill off any remaining cells or tissue. Otherwise, I'm feeling fine and still getting the bike workouts done. Just finished a workout for 61 mins, covering 8.3 miles. Today I ate:
B: 4 strips turkey bacon, 2 eggs, sandwich thin, 1 tbsp butter sub
L: 5 ozs "oven fried" chicken breast on sandwich thin, 2 tsps mayo
S: 4 ozs Light & Fit yogurt, 1/2 oz peanuts
D: 5 ozs turkey/lean beef meatloaf, 1 c cooked turnip greens
Great to see lots of postings today, and that everyone is well. Welcome back to Unconventional Beauty, and Tess has given you great tips on losing your regain. It's working for me, and will for you too. Goodnight, friends :)
