Back On Track Together
Time to shop!
Good Morning! I successfully stuck to my back on track lifestyle on Thanksgiving! Had grilled chicken and black eyed peas. Since I am away from family, and had extra time on our hands, we attempted to shop Walmart after dinner and it was CRAZY!!!!!!! Today we will brave the mall, because I LOVE Sephora and must get my Light Blue by Dolce and Gabana (my fav. perfume)! Also shopping for family. I thought that maybe I would buy me a "motivation dress", something in a size I hope to fit in by February and I can display it where I will see it everyday. It will serve as a motivational symbol. We also plan on catching a movie. So today my eating plan will be:
-Power bar at breakfast-chicken strips (grilled) for snack.-Turkey breast for lunch- not sure-dinner, well not sure either. One thing I am sure of is that I will be on track. In the spirit of shopping I am posting something I "statused" on my facebook about me and make-up shopping at Sephora. It's just a funny little piece:
Like some women have an addiction to bags, shoes, clothing, mine is make-up. Oh how I remember getting my hands on my first foundation. I had watched my older cousin Susan, with magic hands apply her lip gloss and mascara. I knew what to do! It was like art for me! It was even cathartic in an odd and eerie way. When I was done I looked in the mirror to see an eleven year old trying to look sixteen. My canvas was a smooth skinned face that had yet to be touched by blemishes and I was amazed how smoothly and brilliantly the make up contoured and highlighted. And all those magazine covers!! I would take them and copy the colors applied to the face on the page, experimenting with all kinds of shades. Still today I step into Sephora and I am in a trance! I tell Roger, "if I am in there for more than an hour, you'd better come get me.". And I am dead serious about that! That store can suck my money up like no other vortex in the universe, and it is a sad thing!
Enjoy the day!!!!!!!!!!
Forgot to say that yesterday we walked 4 miles and we will walk 5 today!!

Sounds like you had fun this weekend. I did the Walmart crazy on Thursday evening and did the mall and Target early on Friday morning. By 2:00 in the afternoon, I was done. I officially call myself a shoe Ho and not far off from the Bag Ho too! My daughter is a huge fan of Sephora and she dragged me into it on Friday to show me this Urban Decay eye shadow box that she wants (hint, hint) $52.00 for eyeshadow! I almost had a heart attack but I told her will see. Wow! I haven't shopped makeup in a department store in years. My husband did buy me the Bare Minerals that I love from Sephora last year so I guess I will be back next weekend for the eye shadow too! Have a great day!
