Good Morning Botts:

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away.  I went by our local grocer yesterday and placed an order for a butterball turkey cooked, sliced and ready to be picked up on Thanksgiving eve.  That is one less thing for me to prepare day of but I do the rest of the trimmings and dessert usually but may get my daughter to be the baker this year.  She has really gotten into making desserts.  (low fat of course) Ha!  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

2nd Breakfast:  Oatmeal

Snack:  Fiber One Bar

Lunch:  Quest Brownie Bar

Snack:  1/2 Granola Bar

Dinner:  Meatball Lean Pocket

Snack:  Deep Chocolate Vitatop

Exercise:  Bike

One more day until Friday and then the weekend.  Got major cleaning to do this weekend, got twelve folks coming for dinner on Thanksgiving.  I hope everybody has an awesome day and please remember those vits and fluids.

could I ask what is Miralax ? I also see you eat a lot of lean pockets how about those lean cusines or ww dinners ..how do you feel about them ..and am drinking a protien shake this morning ...

I get the Miralax powder and add one capful to my coffee each morning to keep my system running smoothly in the bathroom.  I also take magnesium pills/2 a day.  For the longest I had constipation issues and in working with my doctor this is my solution.  I even have a prescription for the Miralax to get it cheaper than over the counter.  I am eating the lean pockets right now because I am in maintenance and needed to add a few extra carbs.  When I am trying to lose weight, I do not eat these nor do I eat the ww dinners or lean cuisine dinners as they have too many carbs and too much sodium which makes me retain lots of fluid.  If you are looking for a frozen meal I actually like some of the Healthy Choice meals.  They have fewer carbs and less sodium than the others.  Just my point of view.  Good job on the protein shake.  I also add protein powder to my S.F. puddings and my cream soups to bulk them up, unflavored for soups and chocolate or vanilla for the puddings.

I also wanted to say that when I was eating clean that I would eat a lot of chicken breast, tuna in water and lean cuts of steak.  I ate salads, green beans, kidney beans, and refried beans.  Low Fat Cheese, eggs and morning star veggie sausage.  Also ate the morning star veggie burger too on whole wheat sandwich thins.  I ate S.F. pudding and S.F. Fudge Pops, just to give you an idea of what my foods were like.  What I eat now is not what I was eating when I was losing weight.  I am basically just maintaining now from 155-160 on any given day.

Hi Tess and BOTTers .. I am doing OK.  I am dealing with some allergy now.. itching like crazy and I hot that is the reason the scale show 5 lbs gain..  3 lbs more than my absolute highest weight I tolerate on myself.. so back to counting and measuring what and how much I eat..  

Beside that life is normal.. I eat too much, drink too much,,, and have fun.. unless I get sick - then I don't. 

Work it very intense and stressful. We are very busy.. Holidays are on us, and I know trying to lose weight when holidays are here is rather crazy - but there is no time like today... right?

My eats today: 

coffee + more coffee (with miralax) 

pecans (1.5 oz) 

more coffee + almond milk

cheese crackers (crackers made from cheese and nuts) 

water + more water and coffee and tea.. 

egg fritatta with veggies and meat

protein cookies (homemade) 

more coffee and tea.. some water.. 

dinner: not sure but some proteins and veggies.

Hi Hala:  Stress is the number one reason that I gain weight!  You need to up your chill pills, get rid of that allergy and get ready for Thanksgiving.  You have time to get those 3 pesky pounds off and no need to eat Thanksgiving dinner last it is the last supper, I know I have a time or two.  My only saving grace is my eyes were literally bigger than my pouch...((hugs))

Good morning BOTTs.

Not exactly sure what the Thanksgiving plan is this year.  Usually my kids go to the desert with their dad riding motorcycles and 4 wheelers in the sand dunes for the 4 day weekend.  I am an only child so that really just leaves me, my husband, and my parents.  My mother had RNY in 2009 so neither of us are "big" eaters.  Since there is just the 4 of us, we joked about buying turkey sandwiches at Subway for our Thanksgiving meal.  Okay....maybe it was only half-jokingly.  haha.  Non traditional much?  With just the 4 of us, I could actually buy one of the pre-roasted chickens they have at my grocery store!  I'm just rambling while I am thinking.  My thoughts go all over the place and sometimes they spill out right here in front of y'all. 

Breakfast: SF hot cocoa and a few bites of oatmeal leftover from my daughter's breakfast.

Snack:  Protein drink

Lunch: Veggie burger with lettuce and tomato (no bun)

Snack:  string cheese

Dinner:  tilapia and veggies

Snack:  SF hot cocoa and carrot sticks with greek yogurt dip

These cooler nights are lovely, kicking back on the couch with the fire blazing. 

BUT....I find myself really fighting the want to snack!!!  Grrrrrrrr.

Time to start glugging the water.  Have a great day, friends.

Hey, I am all for the Subway idea.  Turkey subs, baked chips and something really awesome for dessert!!!  Y'all will probably enjoy that more than anything and no mess to clean up afterwards.  I am getting subway envy now......

Morning! This year (hopefully) we are driving to Idaho to see my mom. I am doing the cooking and she is doing the shopping. Since surgery I find that I really enjoy the process of cooking and baking. If I make sweets I'll eat it when it first comes out but not much after that. I didn't even touch my husbands birthday cake!  I'm looking forward to having a huge kitchen this year! 

My eats:

b: I was going to have oatmeal but after coffee and a 8oz protein shake I felt satisfied 

l: ham roll up? And salad left over from last night dinner

s: shake

d: we ended up going out last night so taco Thursday! 

I am really good at pouring my 1st 32oz jug of water but than 230 rolls around and I realize I have yet to take a sip so today I will get that one down before 3! Going to take my bit in a minute. Have a good day ladies!
