5 day pouch test
am feeling a little better today trying to get more info from everyone thank you am so afraid of failing again !! am trying the 5 day pouch test on liquids today and tommorro ..hope I can make it ..I been trying to stay busy ..but I feel hungry ..any sugestiond and dose it really work or should I just focus on protien ?
Yes and no. I have tried it a few times, the first time I made it to day 5 but got really relaxed, the second time day 3 and the last time (Monday) the evening of day 1. The thing that got to me was not being able to eat what my family eats. I will say that since then I have noticed that I can't eat as much as I used to. It helped me focus of watching what I ate and how much I ate and not having water with my meals. Since looking into this I feel like the water was my biggest problem, now that I time things out I don't hungry as much, and if I do get hungry I have a shake or some cheese. Try it for yourself see how it feels. I think everyone is going to give you a different answer. One more thing the goal of it is not about losing weight but about reconnecting with your tool. Some folks will argue that you should not go on liquids only, but two days worth is not going to hurt anyone. I strictly did it to detox my system from bad carbs and to be able to feel my pouch again. Some folks do lose some water weight and others don't. On these two days of liquids you can have broths, diluted cream soups, S.F. puddings and jello, protein shakes and plenty of water. There is no reason to have actual hunger in your gut, it is your head that you are fighting because it wants carbs. Carbs or truly the devil and once it gets a hold on you it will fight you tooth and nail before it will let you be. Once you start losing and gaining control of your eating, remember that the carbs or a taste away and will suck you back in if you give it a chance. No more mindless eating or just a taste it will be your undoing. But just in case it happens, remember that each day is a new beginning, each hour is a new start and the bite you had a minute ago is gone and start again now!
