Starting back over, I had protein shakes once or twice a day for several weeks and then one a day for a couple more. I eat more normally now but still have a protein bar for lunch everyday. I love it! I will sub with a shake if I am out of bars. Mainly, I have 6 mini meals a day so that my sugar levels remain steady and my hunger is under control.
When in doubt - I try lower fat atkins induction type diet. Eaing small portion - every 2 hrs to stabilize my BS and detox from carbs. First few days I would concentrate on getting rid of carbs, and once that is done - then I start counting calories and limit qty of food.
