Love the "haunt you" line.

I'm feeling great today. It was one of the most glorious sunrises that I've seen in quite sometime. Early mornings are my favorite time of day...especially in the fall. A little ground fog and a nip in the air. It won't be much longer until we have some frost on the windshields to deal with. Cameron has discovered that my car has heated seats....he's loving his ride to school.

I'm happy to report that donuts have been in the office for the past 24 hours and I haven't gone near them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah me!! They are my kryptonite. I'll continue to work my plan and I should be in good shape. I know I have a dinner coming up Saturday night that I had rather allow myself to splurge on in the company of great friends over a period of several hours than I had rather devour a donut in 2 (maybe 3) bites and then regret. (And I may not splurge too badly but it's at an Italian restaurant that is awesome so I'm simply giving myself permission to enjoy the enitre evening)

Commute:  Coffee

Breakfast:  Mutligrain cheerios w/ the final drops of silk "milk"

Lunch:  Chef salad w/ the very last of my homegrown tomatoes

snack:  greek yogurt & fresh pineapple

dinner:  Crock pot chicken & stuffing  (new recipe)

I've got my walking shoes under my desk where I can see them. Planning on a few laps around the office complex at lunch. I've got the meds and vitamins in already. Just brewed a fresh pot of decaf iced tea (swapped out 2 regular bags for green tea with lemon & ginger). It's looking like a great day!!

Good job on the Donut front!  Please let me know how the crock pot chicken & stuffing does.  I bake mine in the oven but I am always looking for new ways to prepare.  Have a great day!

I've got some victories to report...YAY!  Last night we went to the grocery store and my daughter bought a candy bar for herself.  As we were walking back to the car she offered to share it with me.  I said "No. I've quit."  She didn't believe me at first and tried to get me to take some, but I didn't give in.  Then, at work today, I saw a delicious looking homemade pie that a coworker brought in to share.  I didn't even give it a double-take.  I passed it up.

This week is Red Ribbon Week at school and we dress up everyday for a different theme on Don't Do Drugs !!  Today is nerd day....be too smart for drugs !   Monday was PJ day...Follow your Dreams, Tuesday was Future Day....drugs won't help your future (dress as what you want to be someday), and tomorrow is Rock Star Day....a drug-free life ROCKS !!!  Friday is RED day.  Anyway, I have dressed up everyday this week and the shoes for my costumes are not very comfortable to walk, so my walking has really been minimal this week. I can usually get in at least 10,000 steps while at work if I walk the entire building before school, during lunch, after school and every time the bell rings I walk up and down my hallway twice between every class. Hasn't happened this week since I wore houseshoes one day,  heels one day, today are oxfords that aren't comfy, tomorrow will be boots.   Will do better next week.!!

Todays planned eats.....

Breakfast.............2 slices bacon and one slice unbuttered toast and of course, coffee

Lunch...................ham sandwich with lettuce and tomatos and sugar free pickles

     Snack...................apple

Dinner..................leftover oriental food from Monday nights dinner....1/2 cup rice and mixed veggies

      Snack.................. fruit or SF pudding

I have found that I am doing really well sticking to my food plan since I started posting on this site......Thanks !!!!!

Oh, I forgot, are the Vitatops all good and worth the price ?????

              Ya'll have a great day !!!!!

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

Awesome job you have been doing on getting your steps in.  Sometimes it is good to pause so our body gets a little confused.  I love the Deep Chocolate Vitatops (4) in a box for about $4.50.  100 calories, lots of fiber and protein.  They are so filling to me.  I eat the Vitatop Brownies at work and they are okay, probably would have been great if I had eaten them first, but I like the richness of the others better.  The brownies have (8) in the box for about the same price with only 50 calories, with fiber and protein.  I have tried to incorporate more fiber in my diet and cut back a little on my protein and it seems to be giving me the results of shedding a few regained pounds and losing some inches too!

Good afternoon BOTTs.
I didn't make it to work today so I'm doing this from my iPhone.
I had to get on the scale yesterday at my dr appointment and it really threw
me for a loop. It's 3 lbs higher than my scale at home which put
me at 170. That is the highest my weight has been in over 5 years.
I am trying to be rational and trying to focus but this is where my
depression is kicking my butt. I'm not looking for sympathy, just being
honest with myself. I'm scared because I feel like my life is getting away
from me. I have been trying to lose my regain, which is now even more,
for quite a while now and in the back of my mind, I am kind of feeling
like maybe it's not possible for me. I can't give up, tho.
Breakfast: protein shake
Snack: peanut butter & celery
Lunch: lean pocket
Snack: Greek yogurt
Dinner: salmon and broccoli
Snack: sf jello
Vits, water check.

Have a good evening friends.
Gaby
