Good morning BOTTs.

It's raining here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I love it so much....makes everything so fresh and clean!  It's such a rare treat here that I am thrilled when a beautifully cloudy sky opens up and drenches us.  No walk outside today but I think I will hit the stairwell a couple of times today at least to get my heart rate up and to stretch my legs.

Breakfast:  protein shake

Snack:  banana

Lunch: veggie burger on whole wheat bun

Snack:  protein bar

Dinner: tilapia and salad

Snack:  greek yogurt

Have a great day, everyone.

We are expecting rain here on Thursday for Halloween.  I hope it will give the kids a break so they can treat or trick, if not, I am going to be stuck with a lot of sweet tarts and laffy taffys.  At least it is not chocolate candy bars......

Very true, Tess!!!  Years ago, I bought 2 or 3 big bags of the "fun" size chocolate candy bars, well in advance of Halloween, and then had plenty left over after the Trick or Treaters had come by the house!  I can't even fathom how many times my hand dipped into the candy bowl.  My how things have changed!!!

Gaby, I love rainy days too, and we get lots of it here on the east coast of VA.  It doesn't matter if I'm inside or out, and as a matter of fact, my best fishing days are during a steady, cold rain.  Love the stuff!

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Glad to see everyone had a good weekend.  Mine was good also, and restful for the most part.  I went to a mother/daughter brunch with my daughter-in-law on Sat.  Her mom lives in SC and couldn't be here, so I attended with her and her sisters.  It was nice except for the fact that they served nothing that I still eat except green beans.  Everything was fried, high carbs or sugared.  All of the drinks were sugar sweetened.  I ate a fried chicken leg minus the skin, a couple spoonsful of green beans, about 1/3 cup of fruit ****tail, and found a water fountain for a cup of water.

But the service prior to the meal was wonderful, and they had a great speaker.  That made the whole outing worthwhile for me, and I felt honored that they asked me to go.

On Sunday, I spent a lot of time on the phone and did 3 bike workouts!  I stayed true all weekend to my eating plan and exercise, and my size 12 jeans that I have been wearing lately (hadn't been able to wear them since 2005) are now so baggy on me that it's time to go down to size 10.  I am so happy and thankful to God!  Just felt like sharing that tidbit.  Now, if only I could win the lottery and get some plastics done.

Bike workout was done this evening, 36 mins covering 5 miles.  Today I ate:

B:  1 c All Bran with 1 c almond milk and 3 tbsps SF pumpkin pie spice creamer

S:  1/2 c pistachios (measured in shell), coffee with splenda and 4 tbsps SF creamer

L:  2 1/2 ozs lean beef burger (no bun) topped with 1/4 c RF feta, 1 c cooked collards

S:  turkey Italian sausage link with mustard on sandwich thin

D:  lettuce salad with 4 ozs tuna, 1 boiled egg, 1/4 c feta, 2 tbsps yogurt based dressing

Tess, I ordered my first Vitatops tonight...can't wait to get them.  They're sold locally in a few stores, checked out 2 of them, but they didn't have the sugar free ones.

Goodnight friends :)

I wondered if you found the vitatops.  I have not tried the sugar free ones but I hope they are as delicious as the deep chocolates ones are.  Awesome job on your workouts, you will soon be the skinny minnie you knew you always could be.  Have a great day!

Thanks!  I really didn't know if I should get the SF or the regular ones...doesn't look like much of a difference in the nutritional values, but since I've gone SF, I decided to stay the course.  I did check out the reviews and I didn't see any negative ones at all (one person complained about all the fiber, but that's what I certainly NEED, lol).

Most people said they defrost them for 30 mins, then pop them in the toaster or toaster oven.  Is that how you eat yours?  Someone said they taste like molten lava cake when prepared that way.

I take mine out about 30 minutes before I eat them and just let them thaw out.  I have not put them in the toaster, I was afraid it might dry them out.
