Good Morning Botts:

Chilly start to a beautiful Tuesday.  Have you notice that the fashion industry keeps making dresses shorter and shorter.  I have been on Zulily on the internet looking at clothes and what I call a short tunic, they are calling a dress.  Even if I was 20 years old, I would be self conscious in a dress that short.  I could not even bend over a little bit without my hinny hanging out.  I have decide though with some leggings these "dresses" could make some really cute tops though.  My thoughts this morning.  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

2nd Breakfast:  Oatmeal

Snack:  Banana

Lunch:  Quest chocolate chunk bar "new"

Snack:  Fiber One Brownie

Dinner:  Lean Cuisine Spaghetti

Snack:  Vitatop

Exercise:  Walking

My hubby and kids had a good time at the WWE Wrestling matches in Memphis last night.  I kept trying to see if I could pick them out among 15,000 screaming fans but they were lost to me.  They got home at midnight so I could finally call it a night.  A little tired this morning but all is right in my world.  Hope y'all all have a wonderful day and remember those vits and fluids.

Good morning BOTTs.

It was really foggy this morning driving into work.  Perfect for this Halloween time of year!

Oh yes....I have noticed the "getting shorter" trend.  Not for me with bare legs but I do like the idea of wearing them as a tunic with leggings.  I did a little shopping this past weekend looking for some shoes for work that aren't sandals because my toes were starting to get a little chilly during the day.  My daughter talked me into trying on a pair of Toms and I am so glad I did.  They are not only cute and comfortable but for every pair purchased, Toms gives a pair of new shoes to a child in need.  It was a win win for me, I couldn't make up my mind so I bought two different styles.

I'm glad the WWE fans had a good time last night.  Nice to have a quiet night at home for you, too, I bet.  I love some alone time at home once in a while.

Breakfast:  protein shake & 2 persimmons

Snack:  15 almonds

Lunch:  green salad with tuna and tomatoes

Snack:  protein bar

Dinner:  baked chicken and green beans

Snack:  sf jello

I really need to push the water today...been lagging.

Have a nice day.

Gaby

Hi Gaby.  Thanks for the update on the Toms.  I did not know about giving a child a pair.  I had looked at the Bobs from Sketchers which are similiar buy now will get a pair of the Toms instead.  They had a really cute pair of florals this summer that I wanted but never found them in a store.  Right now I would like to have a pair of Tan ones.  When I need to push my liquids, every hour at the same time I will go and drink a 6 ounce cup of water.  You will catch up real soon doing that.  Have a good one.

Even if I lost every single extra ounce of weight and then 5 more lbs., I'd never be comfortable in the short hem lengths that are out there. While I realize that maxi dresses and skirts will soon be out of style, I think they will forever be "my" style. Give me some sandals and a long skirt and I am a happy (hippy dippy) chick.

Gaby - I had chicken last night. I had planned to bake it but threw it in the rotisserie instead. YUM!!! I swear, to be an appliance that I rarely use, it's earned it coveted cabinet square footage. I'd toss the blender and stand mixer out before I'd give up my showtime.  (No I didn't buy it off an informecial. I got mine at the thrift store.)

I just found out that I have an unexpected day off on Thursday. We finished a huge project and got surprised with a paid day. I can't remember the last time I got to stay home for no reason. And no one else will be home either. Just a day for me and the dog. I think we might have a Netflix marathon. I foresee all day in my pj's!!!!!!! Yippee!!

Today is weigh in day. I think I've seen a small amount of progress this week. My battery dies in my scales at home so I'm judging by how my clothes and rings fit. A new battery is on the shopping list for this weekend. Although it's been kind of nice to not step on it every time I walk by it. I think I need to move it to the hall bathroom.

Today's plan looks like this:

commute: Coffee

Breakfast:  Whole grain cheerios and silk "milk"

lunch:  Progresso high fiber 3 bean chili (didn't love this one) & sugar daddy

snack:  Asian pear & cheese stick

dinner: Pinto beans & corn bread

Exercise was a walk during lunch. Working on decaf tea and got to take the vitamins when I get home. I left them on the counter this morning. Not sure why I even took the pill container out of my purse....oh well.

Hope yall have a great day.

- Iris

Iris, I am with you on the maxi skirts.  I bought three this summer that I love.  They are knits so I am planning on wearing them with a sweater top and boots this Fall too!  Enjoy your day off Thursday.  I am sure that you earned it.

That sounds delicious!   I may have to keep my eyes open for a rotisserie.  I could ditch the blender as well, I got spoiled by using the ready to drink protein shakes.

Sounds like we are all in agreement on the maxi skirts....they are flattering on everybody!

Love the point you made about wearing what is your style rather than what is "in style".

: )

Good Afternoon All!

Crazy day here at work today.  We have a large customer training so that has had me running since 6AM! They ordered pizza today so that was a great excuse to sneak away and grab a salad at lunch :)

I have to agree on those little dresses Tess! I bought a few sun dresses online for my trip to Mexico, and I tried them on...holy shortness! I am going to wear them only for the beach, but man and I glad I got a few extra long ones as well.  I am not a big fan of the dresses and the shorty shorts!  I also bought what I thought were regular shorts, well they are shorter than I would ever wear.  I am fully covered but uncomfortable, the hubby tried to convince me I looked good!  I can't imagine that will ever change no matter what my weight.  I am too uncomfortable. My eating could be better today, but I have to remember the day isn't over and I can't throw in the towel on the entire day for one or two bad choices today.

Today my eats are:

B: Protein Drink

S: Half of an Apple Danish ( I know!!) Naughty!

L: Spinach Salad with other veggies and hard boiled egg

S: Small bread Stick :(

D: Something Healthy!! I may just have a protein drink or a can of tuna to try and balance out my day.

Vitamins are in, working on my liquids and I have an insanity date for 7:30PM! I think I will sleep good after that :) I could use a nap right about now.

Have a great day every one!!!

Melissa...let's celebrate the fact that it wasn't a whole apple danish.  You made a decision and only had half.  That's a plus in my book.  Way to go!  angry

Gaby, that is so funny you say that! I was thinking the same thing lol  I usually do good with NOT eating that stuff but I caved today.

BTW - thanks for the great support, It is intimidating to post when you have a bad day! It helps though to get it out there and realize that the day isn't over, and I can't give up on the rest of the day!

Thank you!!

Melissa:  I bought a dress online that I thought was long enough and if I don't move, I can get away with it.  When you walk in it though it rides up on your hips some and don't even think about bending over slightly either.  I think I am actually going to shorten it up a little more and wear it for a tunic instead.  You made me smile on the half of danish, I did the same thing once and told my husband.  He said next time bring the other half to me.  I told him if I didn't throw it away it never would make it to him anyway.  Good job today!
