Lost regain
I was so pleases to go to the doctors and get weighed for once. I knew I had been working hard and had lost weight, but didn't expect that result! The nurse said I lost 14 pounds in one month. I was so happy and so was the doctor. Now I can't wait to see what my bariatric doctor has to say when I see him next Monday. I've been going to the gym every morning by 6:30 am, when my son leaves for school. I walk 2 miles on the treadmill 5 days a week and water aerobics for an hour 3 days a week. Only 35 pounds to goal! I'm trying to lose as much as I can before I start nursing school in January.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I was out of town and had no internet access. I don't think it was so much the foods I ate as much as what I didn't eat and drink. I also gave up drinking all diet pepsi and other carbonated beverages. And even though it was always diet pop that I drank, the doctor said that contributed to my weight loss by a lot. I also quit drinking 30 minutes before and after my meals. I am almost 11 years post op and had slipped back into the habit of always drinking with my meals.
But what I did eat was always proteins first like fish, chicken, lean red meat. Then a serving of vegetables and if I had room maybe some fruit for snacks later. I also snack on greek yogurt because it has twice as much protein, but some people don't like the texture. You just have to watch the brands because some have a lot of sugar and can cause you to dump. I like the Light and Fit that comes in a purple container and I think it is made by Dannon.
Hope this helps.
