Back On Track Together
Monday, October 14th, Cardio & Cafe
Good Morning Botts:
It is almost the middle of October and I am starting to feel the Christmas crush. I have usually started way before this time and yet some how I have not. Can't seem to find my mojo yet. I spent another Sunday in bed with a migraine. I don't know what I am doing on Saturday to trigger this but I need to figure it out. My eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
2nd Breakfast: Oatmeal
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Quest Brownie Bar
Snack: Vitatop Cake
Dinner: Four Cheese Lasgsana
Snack: Deep Chocolate Vitatop
Exercise: Walking in my neighborhood
I hope everybody has a great Monday and a good start to the week ahead. Remember those vits and fluids.
I'm willing to pay to see the sun shine. It was a rather dreary weekend. Still windy and misting here today. I had a great weekend. Spent some much needed quality time with 2 of my best friends pedicures, thrifting, lunch and then way to much wine that evening. H.A.L.A. - my poor Liver. Yesterday was family time and was very peaceful. It started a little loud and rough but I figured the wine hangover would be there regardless of what I did. So I decided to deep clean the kitchen & dining room. Everyone left me alone for several hours. I think they were afraid if they talked to me I might ask them for help or put them to work. HA HA....my evil plan worked.
Tess - the migraines and seasonal allergies have hit everyone I know recently. Prayers for some relief.
Today is starting out on plan....
commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Flax Sandwich thin woth Scrambled eggs
Lunch: Progresso High Fiber 3 bean chili (not sure how that'll be 1st time to try it)
snack: Greek Yogurt
Dinner: Leftover Potroast & apple sauce (made with splenda - YUM)
Got a chance of no rain this evening so walking around the neighborhood is on my agenda.

Thanks Iris. I have racked my brain trying to figure out what is the trigger for these migraines but have come up empty handed so far. It is feeling a little better right now so I am plugging along at work. We have a cold front moving in starting with rain tomorrow and then dropping in the low 50's and high 60's for the next 3 days. I believe Fall may be here.
Good Afternoon Everyone!
Tess, hope you are doing better! My dad goes through something similar, and he noticed he was getting up later in the morning on the weekends and not getting his coffee at his normal time, and when his schedule is off, it really messed with him. Are you doing anything different, eating or drinking at different times of the day?
Weekend was good for me! I do need another Sunday. It would be great if our weekends were 3 days a week!! Today, I am keeping busy at work, and finding time for homework at lunch since I was a slacker this weekend :)
Here is what I am doing today:
B: Banana and Protein Drink
S: Protein Drink
L: Chili - 2 cups - maybe a bit too much, I am sleepy now lol
S: Almond Milk Maybe
D: Maybe more chili, or left over Chicken Shish Kabobs (my favorite!!)
Going to start really pushing my water today. Got my vitamins in and already have my 45 minutes of insanity in! Going to try and be very diligent with my work outs, and thinking about taking a few kick boxing classes before Mexico. I have to say.... even though I feel like my weight isn't budging right now, I can see differences in my body, in the way my legs, arms and waist look. Trying to remember this as I continue. Its not just about the weight but looking and feeling better too.
I hope everyone has a great day!!

took three 10 minutes walks today. It's another crazy busy week for me. Sorry I haven't been posting much lately.
Good morning and happy Monday BOTTs. (Lawdy, Mondays bite!!!)
Tess, I wish you all the best with finding the cause of your Sunday-stealing migraines! Not fair at all. I am glad that you are feeling better...just in time for work. ; )
I gained a lot of awareness from doing the 5DPT last week. It doesn't look like I lost any weight but of course I also have to throw TOM in the mix of it. I may see a little scale movement next week.
I learned that my pouch is just as perfect as the day Dr. Joya created it. Big smile.
My tool is in tact.
My choices are exactly that, my choices. I chose to go back to square one starting with liquids and progressing to lean protein.
For me, sliders are the devil. Staying completely away sliders and bad carbs was a success.
I learned that even tho I may have a craving for a bad carb, if I head it off with a "dose" of lean protein or squash the head hunger with a protein shake, the craving will pass and I have remained in control.
I know that it will always be a struggle, but I feel a little bit stronger for doing this for myself.
Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Protein Shake
Snack: 1 boiled egg
Dinner: grilled shrimp taco salad minus the tortilla shell.
Snack: sf jello
Have a great day, all.
Gaby
I had a very busy weekend. My family spent the day Saturday at Mansfield at the Covered Bridge Festival, which meant walking around from stand to stand from 9 am to 5 pm. Then we headed downtown Indianapolis to participate in the Lymphoma/Leukemia Light the Night Walk. It was along the canal and about a mile and a half long. So I definitely got my walking in for the day and loved every minute of it!
Started the 5 day pouch test today. So eats for the day are:
B:protein shake
snack: s/f jello
L: chicken broth
D: chicken broth
Exercise include water aerobics and 35 minutes on the treadmill.

Good evening, BOTT friends,
I haven't posted since last Thursday (except a reply to a post on Sunday), and I'm really feeling a void :) I've been here several times, but didn't have time to actually post my routine. I have, however, been true to my plan, eating well and working out like an energizer bunny on my recumbent bike. I'm really proud of the workouts, because exercise has never been my favorite. but now, I feel really lacking if I miss a day, and I haven't missed a day in over 3 weeks! I'm sometimes doing 2 sessions a day, and keeping my bike in my family room (in front of the TV) is the key for me. I'm averaging over 10 miles per day, which is not bad for someone with a bad back :)
Just wanted to say that I now see how important moving the body is to losing, and keeping off the excess weight. Too bad I didn't see it years ago, but it is ingrained in my mind now, and has become a habit...a GOOD habit. It also allows me to eat a little more, because myfitnesspal is always saying I'm eating too few calories (based on what I burn during my workouts. They count your calories as NET calories).
Today I ate:
B: 5 strips low sodium turkey bacon, coffee with 5 tbsps SF creamer
S: 1 oz peanuts
L: 1 1/2 c homemade low carb vegetable soup with meat from 2 small grilled chicken thighs
D: 5 ozs lean beef burger, 1 slice LF cheddar, mustard, 1 tbsp each ketchup and relish, Chic-fil-A garden side salad with 1 oz light Italian dressing
LNS: 1 c All Bran with 1 c almond milk, 3 tbsps SF creamer
Hope everyone has a good night. Settling down to watch late night TV. Goodnight friends :)
