Back On Track Together

Good morning BOTTs.
Boy, we can all relate to food getting stuck! My "danger" foods are dry turkey and dry chicken. Ugh...I can feel the lump in my pouch just thinking about it. I must say that it sure makes me appreciate moist and juicy poultry. I'm not the best cook, by far, but I try to be very careful. That and small bites and chew chew chew.
Day 4 of the Pouch test
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs
Snack: protein drink
Lunch: turkey burger patty
Snack: 3 oz ground chicken with lemon pepper
Dinner: salmon baked in lemon juice
Snack: hard boiled egg and probably one more protein drink late in the evening if I feel the need
We actually had a night of rain and at some points pretty good downpour action! That is a rare gift here and I get so excited when we do get rain. It's gone already...I guess my exercise today will be doing a rain dance to bring more!!!
Have a great day, all.
Gaby
Thanks again for the information on the importance of our fluids and vits, Tess.
Good evening, BOTT friends,
Didn't get a chance to post last night, but not a whole lot to tell anyway. Long day today, rainy and cool like I like it. Got my recumbent bike workout done this evening, 81 minutes covering 11.1 miles. I'm ready to sit back with my protein shake and get some reading done now that the granddaughters are gone home. I'm really gonna enjoy this rainy night, and hopefully, I'll get some much needed sleep. Today I ate:
B: 2 scrambled eggs with 1 oz cheese, sandwich thin, 1 tbsp whipped butter
S: apple slices
L: 2 c homemade low carb vegetable soup, 4 tsps shredded parmesan
D: 1 c tuna salad + 2 ozs grilled chicken breast, lettuce, cherry tomatoes
S: Iced coffee with vanilla protein powder, 4 tbsps SF pumpkin pie spice creamer
Goodnight friends :)
Thanks, Tess! Are you still doing the bike? You ain't no slouch yourself with those 3+ mile walks :) Don't think I could manage that far at one time, even on my treadmill. I'd love to walk in the neighborhood now that the weather is cooling (and the creepy crawlies are hopefully dying off) but it's a no go right now. Missed trick-or-treating when I broke my back last year, and looks like I'll miss it again this year. At least I can be on my feet, dressed in costume and hand out the treats this time though. Can't wait
