Hey guys hope your day is going well? Ours has been quite. It's nice and cool here in NorCal so I have the windows open letting in the nice fall breeze. I love this time of year! Little one might be allergic to her new kitty or she has a cold.... Either way she is feeling iky! Poor girl... My husband is a vet *****cently started going back to school so we relay on his va benefits. I'm staring to get more stressed the longer the shutdown last and my eating is showing that! Let's hope this ends soon and life can go on.

My eats for the day:

pb: coffee

b: 3/4c chex cereal with 1/2c milk and half a banana

l: chili cheese dog (more dog and chili than bun)

s: need to have a shake 

d: grilled chicken and green beans 

Working on my water and getting in my vitamins. Going to try to do a workout video, just need to get off the couch and stop making excuses!

I am so sorry about the idiots that we have running the White House.  I hope this shutdown ends real soon to.  Vets should have never been involved in this situation anyways!

It's sad that they feel like they can use people as pawn in their silly little game. It's stressful yes but it hurts more than anything. My husband has done so much for the country and here they are yet again with a big F U! Anyways.... Getting off my rant.....

Guys...I usually try to stay out of the political threads because each of us has an opinion, and feelings can get bruised.  The White House is only a part of the political system.  CONGRESS has initiated this shutdown, and continues to be the reason we are shutdown.  Would it hurt if we try to leave politics out of this board?  Just sayin'....

Shelia:  When I refer to the White House it is not just the President.  It is Congress, Senators, House Representatives and anyone else who contributes to not running our day to day affairs.  I also, never talk politics on these boards and stay out of any discussions.  But when I heard about a vet being denied what he/she has so rightly earned for defending our country, it just ****** me off.  Okay, no more politics!!!

I understand, Tess and as the mother of a U.S. serviceman, I can also feel the pain.  It's just that I belong to a fishing forum where we have all gotten along splendidly (except for a few bad apples) and wow, since the shutdown there's stereotyping, name calling, and what have you!  Politics just brings out the worst in human nature, and I'd hate to see anything like that happen here.  I like to think of this board as "extended family".  No offense meant to anyone.

None taken.  I just felt her pain about her husband benefits stopping for the shutdown.  We are good girlfriend.  Don't worry.
