Hi guys

Day 12 here of my 20 lb calorie challenge. Had a little break in the middle while I travelled but picked things back up and on track. Overall I think I am about 9 lbs into it so looks like my break may have paid off.

B- two eggs, apple, small piece of pound cake
L- mini pepper, tomato, chicken
D- salad and protein

Walking today and hitting the gym for some Cardio and resistance training.

Hi Chrispy:  How are you able to eat only three meals and not have your blood sugar drop?  I eat five to six meals a day and usually 2-3 hours apart.  If I go further between meals I get the shakes.  I was just wondering if that ever happens to you.

@tess i was being lazy in my post. The lunch was more of a snack. I had a small chef salad from walmart (190) calories and i will have a boiled egg this afternoon. No sure about dinner yet. I decided to cut dairy and cheese Which are my go to snacks. Having trouble replacing them now. I don't normally have the shakes but I can definitely feel it if I go more than 5 hours without food. Sorry for the confusion._ I usually have three meals and two snacks per day.

Good morning BOTTs.

Happy Hump Day!  C'mon Friday!!

Days 1 & 2 of the 5 day pouch test are done!

On day 3 now which is already easier for me.  Liquid diets are not a strong point for me.

Day 3

Breakfast:  2 hard boiled eggs

Lunch:  4 ounces of tuna with lemon pepper

Dinner:  Steamed orange roughy with Old Bay seasoning

I brought an extra pouch of tuna to work with me in case the dreaded pm carb monster rears it's ugly head and tempts me.

My daughter (my youngest) is 16 but she is very independent and I really feel ya about them not needing us to hold their hand much anymore.  I never complained about driving her anywhere and everywhere, and not that she's driving, I really miss it!!  Ahhhh...love love love our kids, and they are growing into beautiful loving adults because of us!

Have a great day friends.

Gaby

Gaby:  I think I will probably be a basket case when this child leaves home.  I have not been a couple without kids in 27 years.  It is kind of scary!  Good job on day two and remember you can still have soups and protein shakes too from day 1 and 2 if you get hungry.

You might be surprised this is year 30 for us and six kids. The last is a senior in high school. All but he are out and about. I miss them all but the same time there's a lot of freedom.

Thank you for that information Tess!!  I didn't know that we could have foods from day 1 & 2.  That puts my mind a little more at ease knowing that if I get a craving for something sweet, I can have a protein shake.

I may never let my daughter move out!  ; )
