Happy Hump Day Botters!

I just love the middle of the week!  Half the week gone and only two more days until the weekend, I don't count Wednesday!  I had a new experience last night.  My son banned me from going to College Night.  I had to literally wait in the car for him.  His excuse, mom, I don't want to make an evening of it.  I just want to run in and sign the book, go by one table and leave.  If you go, we will be there the rest of the night.  He thinks I visit too much.......Like my son, he was in and out in 5 minutes.  Quickest trip I have ever had for a school function.  Kind of made me sad to know he has grown up and doesn't need me to hold his hand anymore.  Being a parent to a grown up stinks some times.

My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

2nd Breakfast:  Oatmeal

Snack:  Vitatop Brownie

Lunch:  Quest Brownie Bar

Snack:  Vitatop Brownie

Dinner:  Chicken Fajitas

Snack:  NSA ice cream

Exercise:  Walking around my neighborhood this afternoon.

Have a great "HUMP" day and remember your vits and fluids.

I agree that being the parent of a grown up stinks sometimes too. Who said they could grow up? My oldest turns 23 tomorrow. I was 23 when I had him. Dear God I feel old and it's really messing with me mentally this year. I don't feel old on my birthday - it's my sons' birthdays that kill me.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I am a stay-at-home mom of a very active 3 year old and I am looking forward to the day she 23! LoL I think it's funny that most of you want your babies back and I want her to growup! I know when I am in your shoes I will feel different but for now.....

Cool. Windy & WET here this morning. The poor little dog did not want to go out so I had to drag her out this morning. Quickest potty trip in the history of dogs.

I missed my weigh in last night. Part of me is FINE with that. The part that needs the accountabilty is not quite as fine with it. I needed to go by my Aunt Kath's last night and take care of a couple of things. What should have been a 5 to 10 minute trip turned into an hour and a half. She was fine but her housekeeping needed some much needed attention. She's legally blind and 88 years old. Her old stinky dog had gotten into the garbage and decided to bring every shred of it into the living room. Needless to say it wasn't what I expected for my evening last night.

Today is going to be a Good day. Afterall it's HUMPDAY!!! That means it's officially close to the weekend.

Commute: Coffee & Granola bar

breakfast:  Cheerios and ff lactose free milk

snack:    apple

lunch:   Roast beef sandwich on wheat

snack:  greek yogurt

dinner:  Chili with lots and lots of beans.

I'm hoping for a break in the rain this afternoon. I'd love to walk in these cooler temps just not sure the weather will cooperate.

Good Morning Iris.  You are such a wonderful person to help your aunt out.  Family is such a blessing to have and will be missed when they are not here anymore.  As for weighing in, now you have another week to get back on track and feel good about next week's weigh in.  Have a great day!

Ahhh Hump day!

Day three of my 5DPT. I am at a loss for eating. I just can't remember eating soft stuff. Eggs and tuna, Tilapia are all I can think of to eat. Yogurt and Ricotta are out because they are sliders and me and beans don't get along. For some reason I react to them like carbs and want to eat the entire pot.

B: 2 large boiled eggs

L: Tuna salad ( Egg, tiny drop of mayo and mustard, celery, onion and Mrs. Dash Onion & Herb)

D: More Tuna salad if any is left from lunch, other wise I will grill a 4 oz filet of Tilapia.

No coffee or carb cravings so far but I was so tempted to stop at Starbuck's for green tee latte with SF syrup and I don't even like SF syrup :-)

Good luck to everyone on the journey.

Hi Calibelle:

Remember you can still eat and drink what you had on day 1 and 2 too.  I also made a hot egg and tuna salad with onions and peppers that was great for dinner.  Just crack the eggs like you are going to scramble them, add tuna, onions and peppers, no other dressing needed.  I really enjoyed it.

Good Morning Everyone!

the sun is shinning in good Ole Wisconsin and it is chilly! We got a new kitten last night and I am SO eager to get home and see her! She is home locked in our office until she gets a little more used to things, our other cat is a BIG boy and thinks she is a play toy, so keeping an eye on them. I've never had to introduce two cats before, so hopping this goes ok.... Closest thing I have to children right now :) lol

Day 2 of my 5DPT - Since I started over yesterday.  I have been under 1000 calories everyday this week, and I still gained a pound this morning... I know, normal flux and probably all the sodium I drank in yesterday with my Chicken broth, but was really expecting my weight to have gone down.  Anyways, eats for today:

B: Protein Drink - Unsweetened Almond Milk and Unjury Choco Splendor

S: Coffee with SF creamer and a jello cup

L: Protein Drink

S: SF Jello

D: Protein Drink

S: SF Jello

Vitamins are in today, and no exercise yet today, walking or Insanity tonight.

Hi Melissa:  You definitely have sodium fluid built up in your system, you should probably not weigh until day five to see an actual drop.  I have a big black and white cat name Lou that would eat kittens for a snack.  Good luck with your two!
