Back On Track Together
Sunday, September 29th, Cardio & Cafe
Good evening, BOTT friends,
Actually, it's after midnight in my neck of the woods, but couldn't let another minute go by without posting something for today. My day started out with a pancake breakfast for my son-in-law, whose birthday was today. Pancakes for him, my daughter and granddaughters, not for me. The rest of the day was a whirlwind with babysitting, hairdressing, laundry, cooking...you name it. They're all back home now, and I'm relaxing and watching late night tv. Got my recumbent bike workout in also for 41 minutes, covering 5.2 miles.
Still trying daily to get all my water in, but usually getting less than I should. My goal this week is more water and cutting down on the turkey bacon. I love the stuff, an even though it's lower sodium, I still think I need to lower the amount I eat. We'll see what happens. Today I ate:
B: 5 strips low sodium turkey bacon, coffee with Splenda, 3 tbsps FF half & half, 2 tbsps SF hazelnut creamer
S: 1 1/2 c shredded lettuce, 2.6 oz pouch water packed tuna, 1 1/2 tbsps light ranch dressing
L: 4 ozs leftover turkey meatballs, 1.5 ozs leftover lean beef burger (plain with no bun), 1/4 c pork and beans
S: shake made with vanilla protein powder, almond milk, 1/2 c frozen strawberries, 2 tbsps FF half & half
D: 6 ozs grilled sirloin on sandwich thin with 1 tbsp A-1 sauce
Feeling a little sleep coming on so I'd better grab it while I can. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Goodnight friends :)
Hope the headache isn't too bad...I know that can be a problem when withdrawing from caffeine. Wonder if I'll experience "turkey bacon withdrawal", lol :) But I'm not actually giving it up...just cutting back because it happens to be a substitute for more evil foods ;-}
Won't be eating any today. I also want to drink only water, because this coffee thing is getting out of hand. Not the coffee itself, because I only drink 2-3 cups/day, but it has to be nearly white and very sweet. I only use Splenda, and the creamers I use are SF, but lots of carbs and fat too (in some cases) so a 0 calorie cup of black coffee has become 60-100 calories and that's too much for my needs.
Shouldn't be difficult to overcome because I don't actually like the taste of coffee anyway, hence the need for it to be sweet and creamy, though I do like a little in my protein shakes sometimes for variety. Have a great day, Tess :)
