Back On Track Together
Every Journey Starts With a Step...
Every Journey Starts With a Step...and is made up of many. Hundreds if not thousands. One thing I hav struggled with is the need for instant gratification. Not unlike a lot of other people. In the past I struggled to stick with a plan because the littlest backslide sent me in a tail spin. I can work on something successfully for weeks and only see a single failure. Hoping this post can be helpful to you guys. Here is a link to my weight loss over the last three months. If someone can help me with figuring out how to show it please do.

Notice how when viewed this way it is a gentle slope. Almost seems like that there is very little happening. In reality it is a number of little steps. Now look at the next showing my 12 Year chart:

On this one you can see where I started my Journey Pre-Op and then Post-Op. See the jump in weight, peaking near 300 Post-Op? This was my moment of learning. That was when I decided that I was responsible for this and that I had to do something. I threw off the shackles of "this is what it is". I went back to the maintenance plan and saw the NUT.
I look at these charts a lot and keep them up to date for the most part its my thing. I use it to remind myself that every day is a new day. Every morning regardless of how I feel about the past I go get Back On Track. Huge deal for me since if I let myself get down about the little progress day to day week to week I go off plan. I call it practicing getting Back On track. My mother always said practice makes perfect.
You cant see all the imperfections of my journey by looking at the big chart. All the little stumbles or bad days where I could have thrown in the towel. Hoping this is as helpful to someone else who is trying to get back on track as me.
