How to lose 30lbs
Hello there, confession time, its been 2 long years since i last posted on this forum. I need help!! I have lost over 160lbs and for nearly 5 years have kept it off, but i have put 30lbs on this year and cant seem to get a handle on things. I crave sweets and food and am eating when rarely hungry, more of a mind thing. I have a terrible belly now and I am terrified of getting any bigger and loosing everything i have worked so hard to achieve. my problem is i just cant seem to get back to basics. Help PLEASE!
My thought for you is to consider breaking down the habits you need to build back in your life one at a time. If you feel overwhelmed by it all just take one habit that you feel is do able and bring it into your routine.
For me I started 4 weeks ago with exercise. I have m self booked for my first 5k race and am tracking my exercise on a calender, counting down to race day.
Now one month later I have added no flour no sugar back into my life.
I just remembered that two months ago I started back with vitamins, supplements and protein shakes.
I also have started reading blogs and advice on maintaining. I am trying to bring back the passion and hopefulness I had right after surgery.
Take care,
Pat
Welcome back. I haven't tried it yet but there are several on here who have used the 5DPT to eliminate those carbs and get a jump start on getting themselves back on track.
Come post daily and get that sense of accountability going again. Let us know how it's going.

Hi JulesB124.
You need to detox your system of sugar and white carbs to be able to get a handle on your cravings. Once you do that you can eat high protein low carbs and the weight will come back off. Incorporate some exercise and it will fall off even faster. For me to lose, I got to get my calories below 1000 and my carbs below 50. I lost a 70 lbs. regain in 8 months so I know it can be done. Come here daily to post, lurk or just ask questions. Someone is usually on the board during part of the day. Best of luck to you.
