Good Morning Botts:
It is starting off rather warm in my neck of the woods and I am feeling the heat. Drum roll please....I lost 6 lbs. on my liquid protein/pudding diet week. It is a great way to jump start me to continue on down. I am adding a meal this week to my plan. So my eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Protein Shake
Snack: Protein Shake
Snack: Protein Pudding
Dinner: Refried Beans, Cheese on Tostada shell with lettuce and L.F. Sour Cream YUM!
Exercise will be riding my bike for as long as my knees can take it.
I hope you all have a great day. I am off to take my hubby to the dentist for a root canal. That should be fun! Don't forget your vits and fluids.
Good Luck with the Man-child and his root canal. My prayers are with you. Thankfully my guy started feeling last night. It took about 12 hours of the really good meds before he felt like he might live. But then again I just may kill him....keep reading and you'll understand why...
I was busy doing household stuff last night (dishwasher, washing machine and a sink full of pots soaking) when I walked into the kitchen to be met with about an inch of warm soapy water all over the floor. Turns out the sink drains had come unhooked and the sink water and DISHWASHER were basically just dumping into the floor. It has bothered me that both sinks came unhooked. He was convinced that I has shoved something under the sink to make that happen. I thought he might have some justification in that....until it hit me this morning. He got me a new sink a month or 2 ago (Stainless steel) because I can't stand the white one that we have. It is always stained from our bad water. But he hasn't installed it yet because there is some clip that he wanted to go to Home Depot and get. Well guess what he didn't know he needed that until he had taken the white sink out and then he hastily put it back together for me to use. I am willing to bet this month's paycheck that he never hooked the drains up like they were supposed to be.
Needless to say I was a busy woman last night before finally crawling into bed. Then I had a nightmare about snakes and managed to wake everybody up screaming at 3:30 this morning. The dog was not impressed with me. I'm not imressed with me. I'm dragging butt.
Today's plan looks like this:
Commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Cheerios, lactose free milk & 1/2 banana (comfort food)
Lunch: 1/2 grilled hamburger, onions. lettuce & tomato (last night's leftovers)
snack: grapes & almonds
Dinner: Chicken chilli w/ lots and lots of beans
Just brewed a fresh gallon of decaf tea and have taken the vitamins and meds. Planning on another bike ride tonight (making the neighborhood loop a little larger tonight to include the adjoining park). Hope yall have a WONDERFUL day.

Hi Iris. Sorry about the "sink crisis". Root canal cleaning did not go well at all. Doctor broke tooth while trying to remove crown. Had to leave that office and go back to our regular dentist and have tooth pulled. Hubby got shot up twice at two different offices. He is now a sore baby and in bed. I settled him down and now I am back to work again. He is on a liquid diet now for the next three days. I guess I started to soon...
ouch... he is on liquids ... so most likely you will be also.. Ouch... hope he feels better.. hope you got some good pills for him.. and he can sleep on them...

Ouch... Sorry to hear that, I can relate... to a point.. I just got back from vacation .. my office and offices of the ladies that work close to mine, plus hallway plus computer room.. were flooded due to to leaks in the bathrooms.. the tanks leaked... We had the toilets issue and my colleague (it is his job to take care of maintenance in the office) "fix it" - changed both toile****er plungers in the bathrooms.. I guess - he didn't do a great job or the fixtures were defective - because over the long weekend the office flooded.. I was on vacation .. and he requested for me to get back and deal with that... lol...
My poor ladies - they had to deal with that... They contacted the company that deal with floods and the office was and still is loaded with very laud fans - dehumidifiers - there are 7 in the hallways, 3 were in my office (plus 2 fans) and 3 more in Cathy office... the front got only one - only one could fit + fans.. If course Brian office was not damaged - not even a drop of water in his office... It is "fun" ... not... I am not sure how they dealt with that noise and smell and heat and humidity all last week.. I am here for 1/2 day and I can't stand the noise..

Hi Hala: So about those leaking toilets. You might need a better repair person. Just saying! My sister's house flooded a few years back and had to have the fans in to dry carpets that ended up being tossed anyway and after 1 day, they were at my house for the next 4 days. Could stand the noise. I hope you have a more peaceful day on hump day!
lol... I know I need a better service person.. But the guy is my business partner and changing just the water "thingy" in the tanks is typically very easy job.. I know I have done that a few times in my rentals.
I think the fixtures (2) were defective or our water pressure is to high for them .. ( modern fixtures - old pluming). We do plan to change the whole toilets - but we also want new floors in the bathrooms....The floor is there is so hard to keep looking clean... so we need new ceramic tiles. Easy to clean and keep clean and disinfect.
But yea... after over a week - we only have 2 dehumidifiers and 3 fans running... it is still bit noisy - but not to horrible.
Our carpet is industrial - and there is no padding - so not much of damage. .. - worse were the walls - the insulation worked as a wicking media and soaked up the moisture 2 feet+ high... I do worry about black mold... we are in SC so moisture is a big issue and mold is big issue..
BTW: I am glad you DH is doing better... and getting him out of the house is fantastic..

Good morning BOTTs.
6 pound loss, Tess!!! That is wonderful!!!! Your willpower is astounding and admirable!! What a reward!
I hope all goes well with hubby's root canal.
