Back On Track Together
Monday, September 9th, Cardio & Cafe
Good Morning Botters:
I hope everybody had a great weekend and are ready to take this week head on. I made it through my liquid phase over the weekend and today will conclude my one week challenge to myself. Shelia, I got my bike out of the garage and it is proudly sitting in my family room waiting to be jumped on. I am starting that today. I have decided to challenge myself with something new once a week and stay with it for that whole week and weekend and then re-evaluate it after completion. I think sometimes I get stale and I need a new challenge to "perk" me up. That being said, my food for today with be my final protein shakes and pudding and cardio with be 30 minutes on the bike tonight.
I hope everybody has a challenge today, one that you can stick to and feel good about. Don't forget those vits and fluids today also.
Good Morning!!!! The man-child, Oops - I mean husband is sick. He started coming down with a sore throat Friday that has now turned into a wonderful case of thrush. I swear the sounds that came out of him were not human last night. Thankfully it's nice and calm at work and I can recover from lack of sleep last night.

Lunch: WW frozen entree

Already working on glass #2 of decaf iced tea. I've taken the vitamins and meds for the day. Planning on a bike ride this evening once I get in from work. I rode a cople of times in the neighborhood over the weekend and HALLEJUHAH my tailbone didn't object. That's the first time in 4 years that I've been able to enjoy a bike ride.
Yall have a great day!!

Tess, glad you got the bike out and I love the mental pic of your riding in the nightgown, lol! Actually, I ride in my pj's or whatever, as long as the bottom is loose fitting, and ALWAYS barefooted because my plantar fasciitis is aggravated when I ride in my shoes. Not wearing shoes gives my foot more flexibility, and stretches that tendon (my theory). Great idea on the weekly challenges, and GREAT job on completing your liquid phase. As usual, I'll post my day later (but earlier than usual because of my test tomorrow). Have a great day!
Hi BOTTs.
Very late in the day posting for me but here I am, nonetheless!!! I am really working on my accountability and this is the place of choice.
Newsbreak!!! We are finally experiencing a cooing trend....lastnight was the first day in over a week that I was able to shut off the AC. Whew!!! I don't even want to see my electricity bill.
This morning was about 15 degrees cooler than it has been so yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!
Breakfast: Protein drink
Snack: Apple and string cheese
Lunch: tuna salad and a peach
Snack: Protein drink
Dinner: Tacos with morningstar farms meatless crumbles
Snack: grapes and string cheese
Cardio: ran the stairs several times today at work, probably only a total of 10 minutes but it got the heart rate up. Better than not at all.
Struggling with the water intake but still working on it. Some days it's much easier to get the h20 down than others.
Have a nice evening all.
PS Tess, I giggled at your visual of the exercise bike escapade because during my sprints up and down the stairs today I had to hold onto the girls since I'm not wearing a sports bra. hahaha The things we do.
Gaby
Okay Gaby, I think I sent you our cooler weather. We are back in the temps at around 94 degrees with heat and humidity. The heat index today is going to be over 100 degrees. I want my cool weather back.I did put some workout clothes on last night and got two miles on the bike. The girls were safely contained.
Good evening, BOTT friends,
Had watermelon again this weekend, but learning to just have an allotted amount and move on, and that is a big accomplishment for me. But it does mean too many carbs for my taste, so I will continue to limit it in my food plan. I'm also having a bowl of All Bran for dinner (with a few strips turkey bacon) because I want some bran fiber, and haven't had a bowl of cereal in close to 7 months. I'll be having my myelogram tomorrow, so no eats after midnight until tomorrow afternoon/evening. Got my bike workout done, 63 mins covering 7.1 miles. Slower paced, but burned off the carbs from tha****ermelon :) Today I ate:
B: 3 c watermelon chunks, 6 natural almonds
L: 4 ozs low sodium deli turkey on sandwich thin, 2 tsps mayo, lettuce , tomato, 1/2 c cucumber slices with 2 tbsps homemade Greek yogurt dip
S: 1 c homemade pulled chicken barbecue, Iced coffee with Splenda, 6 tbsps light half & half
D: 3/4 c All Bran with Splenda and 3/4 c almond milk, 4 strips low sodium turkey bacon
Gaby...glad you finally got some cool air out there! Goodnight, friends :)
