Back On Track Together
Sunday, September 8th, Cardio & Cafe
Good evening, BOTT friends!
Weezieweeks....this is the Cardio & Cafe or C&C as I sometimes refer to it. It's usually started by Tess during the week, and she sometimes does it during the weekend, but lately she has been signing off for the weekends or holidays and catching up to us at the start of the new week. The thread can be started by anyone, and can contain whatever you'd like to post about. Most will add their food and any exercise for that day, then others will usually follow, especially during the week. Lately, it's been very quiet during the weekends, probably because people are spending valuable time with family and friends and doing things :)
I didn't post on Saturday, but my eating was no different than any other day...I remained on track, and my recumbent bike workout was done. I had more back pain than usual on Saturday, so I spent a good part of the day resting and reading, along with babysitting.
Today, I made a pancake breakfast for my granddaughters and their sleepover buddies, followed by a relaxing afternoon watching TV. I cooked two dinners (one for me, and one for the rest of my family) and did my bike workout this evening. My back has started up again, so I decided to fire up my PC and post for today.
Bike workout done for 43 minutes, covering 5.1 miles. Today I ate:
B: 5 strips turkey bacon, coffee with Splenda and 4 tbsps light half & half
S: 2 c watermelon chunks
L: 3 ozs lean beef burger on sandwich thin, 1 slice deli cheese, mustard, 1 tbsp ketchup, dill pickle slices
D: 1 c homemade pulled chicken barbecue on sandwich thin, 1/2 c mixed summer vegs with 1/2 tbsp shredded parmesan
LNS: 2 c watermelon chunks ( maybe)
Hope everyone had a great weekend, and have a good night friends :)
Shelia, I did have a great weekend! I have decided not to post on Cardio & Cafe on the weekend and Holidays. That is me time away from the computer. Most weekends I do not even turn the computer on. I guess when I am so plugged in during the week I just want a break from the PC on the weekend. Sorry about your back again but you still get on that bike. I got mine out of storage and I will be riding it today. Have a good Monday.
Hi Tess...we all need a break, and I'm sure you qualify too :) You give a lot of your time and of yourself here, so I can see why you would want to have some time for yourself and family.
The back is what it is for the moment...going for a myelogram tomorrow morning (oh joy!!) NOT!!!
Glad you've gotten your bike back into service. I like walking, but love my bike a whole lot more. Have a great day!
Good luck with finding ways to deal with yours. I don't wish back pain on anyone.
