Back On Track Together
Getting back on track
I'm 12 yrs post op and have rescently in the last yr gained 20 lbs back. I'm having a tough time getting back on track.
I trained for a marathon a yr ago and had to change eating habits to push through the runs. I would never regret doing the marathon since it was for a good cause. I ran for my dad who lost his life to Lymphoma. I'm really ready to buckle down and get this weight off and want to get back on track.
Help please!
You'll find this group to be a pretty warm & welcoming bunch. The weekends are usually slow around here so please don't be discouraged. Come back as often as you can to share your day's triumphs and struggles.

I second what Iris said. You didn't state what your biggest difficulties are, but chances are you'll find that whatever it is, someone here can relate. Take a look back at some of the threads to see what it's all about...you'll find a lot of insight and inspiration (I know I did). Looking forward to hearing more from you :)
Welcome to the Board! I find that by reducing calories, upping proteins and restricting carbs that I can get myself back on track. Since you have trained for a marathon then you are probably already a walker/runner. When I am serious about dropping the pounds, I usually have 800-1000 calories, 90-110 proteins and 50 grams carbs or less net mostly, and 30 minutes of cardio. Keep your fluids up and remember to take all your required vitamins. Please come here daily and lurk or post, we would love to hear from you. Have a great day!
