Back On Track Together
Thursday, September 5th, Cardio & Cafe
Good Morning Botters:
Once again it is a lovely day in Mississippi with temps in the upper 80's today. My detoxing is going great and I am feeling full of energy. I did have a slight headache last night but so far today doing great. I have a hair appointment this afternoon to "wash this gray right out of my head" remember that old commercial? I am telling my age again. Oh well, back to liquids one more day. My eats and drinks today are protein shakes and protein pudding. My son yesterday decided he want to try to become a vegetarian. No meat at all. I told him that if he wanted to give it a shot I would support him but I was not given up chicken. Red meat no problem, but I do love me some chicken. He did really good yesterday and even got a veggie delite sandwich from Subway. We shall see how today goes.
I hope all of you have a wonderful Thursday and remember those vits and fluids.
I'm with you about "washing that gray right out of my hair" . Wasn't that the Clairol Theme song? It's about time I touch my roots up.
I've got a mountain of housework facing me tonigth when I get home. I need all the extra energy I can muster. We've got family coming in tomorrow for 10 days. Add that to having been gone for the Labor Day weekend so I'm way behind. I will get a full workout in tonight....just climbing steps and cleaning. I think I'll clip on the pedometer to see just how many steps I can take inside the house.
Commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Oatmeal
snack: Cheese & Almonds
Lunch: Chef Salad with Ranch dressing

Dinner: Ham & Squash
Plus lots and lots and lots of water today. I woke up thirsty. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning.
Tess I love the sound of your weather. I got home from work yesterday about 5pm and it was 107 degrees on my patio, underneath the eves, in the shade. YUCK. Enough already. My dinner plans changed to watermelon and a turkey burger patty. Must. Eat. Light.
I will be washing that gray right outta my hair, again, very soon too. I do believe it was Miss Clairol. Ahhh...memories.
My daughter decided a couple of years ago to become a vegetarian also. I supported her efforts and she did great and felt very healthy. She did it for about a year and then decided that she wanted to add seafood and poultry back into her diet. That works best for me, it's kind of a challenge to keep high protein, easy to fix, foods on hand to support a "veggie". I rarely have red meat so it works well for all of us.
Breakfast: Protein shake
Snack: watermelon (:
Lunch: chicken caesar salad w/ lowfat dressing
Snack: protein shake
Dinner: Not sure yet.
Pushing the water today.
Enjoy your Thursday, BOTTs.

That is exactly what I am thinking about with my son. He is trying it cold turkey "no pun intended" but I think if he would supplement with chicken and fish and no red meat that he would get the best of both worlds. Sorry about your weather those. We might see a few more days reach in the 90's before September is over but we should be on the downside of those temps heading for the 70's by early October.
