Back On Track Together
New Memeber
Hello to you all! My name is Janessa and I had my RNY in June of 2007. I lost about 120lbs (I say about because I'm not sure my true weight before surgery due to a "few" last meals....) I was doing great until I got pregnant in 2010 and one of cravings was Big Macs and diet cokes. I mostly maintained my weight but keep the bad habits I devolved during my pregnancy and 3 years later I am 38 pounds heavier than I would like to be. But I have seen the error in my ways and am trying to get back on track! I am on day 3 of the 5DPT and have dropped 2lbs but am starting to feel that oh so familiar tightness of being full something that I really haven't paid attention to in 3 years. I am looking forward to getting back my old self and thank you in advance for whatever support/advice you guys can give me!
thanks janessa
I hear you! The best advice I can give you about the 5DPT is to be prepared, both physically and mentally. Today was hard because I had nothing to do so all I wanted was to munch on something! My husband was a big support the first 2 days but it was still hard to watch them eat. But it sure is a wake up call! Good look and nice to meet you too!
Hi there, I just posted for the first time to this group too - getting BOTT and it feels good - I have such a better outlook on myself, my body, my work. The bariatric practice I hooked into has four different support groups held at different times, so I hope to make them all this month. I made it to two last month, plus the Nutrition 101; so feeling more connected, that is for sure.
Congratulations on the baby and welcome to BOTTs. Getting back on track is the hardest but you have made the first step back on the road to success. Detoxing the body from breads, sugar and pasta is the quickest way to feel better inside and remember that your pouch still works. It is like a well oiled lawnmower ready to run but still needs someone to operate it. Good luck to you today. I hope you have great success!
