Just be careful.. Not enough sodium may cause low BP, muscle cramps and overall feeling weak... Too much is bad, not enough, specially when you try to exercise - is not good either..

Good afternoon BOTTs.

Nice long weekend albeit very hot and humid!!!  I don't even want to look at my gas & electric bill because running the AC was not optional, it was essential.  I think (okay, I know!) that I over did it on fruit this weekend but when it was so hot, the only thing that sounded good to eat was watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, peaches, cherries, and grapes.

Breakfast- Protein drink

Lunch- chicken sandwich with swiss cheese

Snack- Protein bar

Dinner-  green salad with baked chicken and fruit

Snack-  skinny cow ice cream sandwich (guilty pleasure)

Have a nice evening.

Drinking lots of water in this heat.

Hi Gaby:

When it is hot I eat alot of fruit too!  I think that it is because it is full of liquid and is quite refreshing to my body.  Same with salads.  I crave them most on really hot days when I do not want to eat anything heavy.  Our weather is finally back in the 80's here and the humidity is low, thank you Jesus!  Have a great Wednesday!

Now that's the mindset I want to eventually acquire, Tess.  Getting right back in the saddle IMMEDIATELY, instead of going off the deep end for several months.  I'll get there, but until I do, I can't tempt myself.  But I did ea****ermelon last week (a reasonable amt but too many carbs for me) and got over it.  I had it, and now it's history (oh how good it was)!

Got my bike workout in a little while ago, 46 mins covering 6 miles.  Today I ate:

B:  3/4 c pistachios (measured in shell), McDonald's SF iced coffee with 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1 tbsp each SF creamer and light half & half

L:  1 1/4 c tuna salad on sandwich thin, 1 slice deli cheese

D:  5 strips low sodium turkey bacon, sandwich thin, 2 tsps mayo, lettuce, tomato

Goodnight friends :)

Thanks Shelia.  I can get back in the saddle quickly but I need to quit getting off that "darn" horse!  Have a great Wednesday!
