Hard to believe that September is here. Time is passing quickly in my life. I had a wonderful three days off and ate quite well (means not great) on Labor Day. Today I am back to detoxing that evil know as sugar back out of my system. My drinks for today are:
All day I will have Protein Shakes, Water, and Chicken Broth
Probably tomorrow too!
I am planning on giving my protein bars a rest and start eating a more regular food plan. We will see how that goes.

I am starting the 5DAY POUCH test today. After all the munching on stuff that was not good for me this weekend, I decided to do this. I have to stick to it. Went on YouTube and found people that went thru the test.
I'm in. I have to do this. I jumped on the scale and I was 177.4 OUCH! This is my highest since my RNY. Feeling sad...
Went to Vons and bought broth, Protein shakes, and coffee Of COURSE!
I need to shake this off. I'm in a mission to lose 50 pounds by Halloween. I must!
Treadmill and water and vitamins are my CLOSE FRIENDS FOREVER!

I had a wonderful weekend. Family time spent in the mountains - away from TV, telephones & internet is my idea of heaven on earth. We swam, we hiked, we talked and just generally had fun being together. There were 4 couples, 2 kids and 1 rotten dog. Luckily I think the dog is the only one who gained weight.
I took a gamble and stepped on the scales...I was down 1.5 pounds. I'm ecstatic. As long as there was not a gain I was going to be okay with it. We took a commercial Bunn coffee maker with us (2 pots). It was the best decision ever. Turns out 9 of us were coffee drinkers. The only thing we ran out of was creamer for yesterday morning.
Today is planned out to be pretty good as well.
Commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Protein Bar (Vanilla w/ 20 grams of protein)
snack: 1/2 pack nabs
Lunch: Chef salad
snack: Chobani yogurt
Dinner: BBQ chicken (or oven fried) w/ green beans & wild rice
Hoping to get a walk in after dinner tonight. That's completely dependant on weather. Of course I've got my vitamins in for the morning and I've chugged my first big glass of decaf iced tea.
I'm semi-glad to be back to work where it's fairly calm and quiet today.

I had a great weekend too with family ...and indulged in some deep fried foods and zucchini bread. Calorie overload yesterday!
