Actually, it's now Sunday and I just couldn't go without posting something tonight.  Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend.  I'm not doing much to celebrate, but I did "treat" myself with watermelon again today.  It's all gone now, and good riddance (but it was soooo good while it lasted).  Got my recumbent bike workout in this evening for 40 mins, covering 5 miles.  Today I ate:

B:  1 c tuna salad, sandwich thin, 2 c watermelon chunks

L:  small grilled chicken breast and wing (skinless), 1/2 c green beans, 2 c watermelon

D:  5 oz lean beef burger on sandwich thin, 1 slice deli cheese, mustard, 1 tbsp each ketchup and relish, Iced coffee with Splenda, 2 tbsps SF creamer and 4 tbsps light half & half

LNS:  3 c watermelon chunks

Goodnight friends :)

Too job...
As for watermelon - it is wasted and some sugar..but with some minerals. You are lucky you don't get RH with it. Specially when you eat that as a stand alone snack. I wish I could do that.

H.a.l.a., What is RH mean in your post above?  I have not been on these boards for awhile so am missing the meaning of some of the abbreviations.

Thx.

RH = reactive hypoglycemia. A very common side effect of RNY - typically shows up 1-2 or more years post op. It is due to body overreacting to sugar - carbs eaten at a meal- blood sugars goes up - body produces too much insulin and as a result the blood sugar (BS) drops very low causing crash - hypoglycemia.
Some have it mild some severe, some don't have it. And there are those who don't know they have it, because they never know whats to look for.
Google RH - reactive hypoglycemia.. To learn more.
