Good evening, BOTT friends,

Happy Labor Day, and I hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend with family, friends and fun!  Can't say I did too much to celebrate, but it was a relaxing weekend for me.  Today was hectic, as I had all 3 granddaughters together to help them get ready for first day back to school tomorrow.  One is a senior in high school, one going into her first year of middle school (6th grade), and the baby is going to kindergarten.  She'll be able to ride the school bus this year and she is ecstatic about that.  She wasn't allowed to ride it in pre-k last year, so that required us to transport her to and from school.  Fortunately, that headache will be relieved this year.

I didn't post for yesterday, and no need to do it now.  I got in my bike workout and my eats were nothing more than usual for me.  No "holiday splurges".  Got my workout in earlier today on my recumbent bike for 44 minutes covering 5.6 miles.  I just took a pain pill and am feeling relaxed and ready to watch a little TV after this busy day.  Today I ate:

B:  shake made with 3/4 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 2 tbsps each SF creamer and half & half, 4 strips low sodium turkey bacon

S:  1 c pistachios (measured in shell)

L:  medium grilled chicken thigh, cucumber slices, 4 tbsps ranch dip made with FF Greek yogurt

S:  1/2 banana

D:  4 1/2 oz lean beef burger on sandwich thin, 1 slice deli cheese, mustard, 1 tbsp each ketchup and relish

Have a good night friends, and safe travels to all still en route to home :)

You doing great Shelia. Good to see you postings.
I ask on vacation in Chicago...having great time with my BF.
The weather is going to be great and we plan to visit museums and just have fun. We will walk a lot so I know I get my exercise. As for the food, I need to follow clean eating because I don't feel my best if I don't. And a piece of cake is not worth making me sick or get bad gas on my vac.
Today I had:
Coffee with some coconut milk
Scrambled eggs
Cheese sticks wrapped in salami, cucumber
More coffee
Almonds
Burger with bacon, tomato, some veggies (a few fries from BF plate - I can't count them - they were 'stolen' so really should have zero calories... lol)
And some wine...
+ Protein shake...

Hi there, H.a.l.a.  Hope you gather lots of memories and good times from your Chicago vacation.  I was there back in 2002 for my son's graduation from Navy boot camp (Great Lakes).  I visited the Sears tower, but stayed below while everyone else went up to the observation deck (I'm afraid of heights).   We had a wonderful, but very short stay, so I hope you're able to seek out and enjoy all the sights.  Your food looks great (lol on the stolen "calorie free fries" :)

Have a great trip!

Just wanted to chime in.  You have been doing awesome and you are a great leader to follow.  I think I am going to model my new eating plan around yours.  Keep inspiring me!
