Day 3 of 5 day pouch test

Hi All, we'll, here I am on day 3 of the 5day pouch test. I finally got myself on this test. Day 2 was a little struggle in that I found myself wanting to chew food, but I made the thick pea soup recipe and that got me through. I strained my back on the first day so I haven't been able to exercise since day one, but I am still doing ok. I watched a past episode of Extreme Weight Loss That I had recorded and I really identified with some of the ladies struggles. It really gave me more hope and motivation that I can do this. I have lost 7 lbs in two days! Though I know it is all water weight it still gives me motivation to go forward and reminds me how good it feels to be losing again, be in control of my eating and feel better all around. I am struggling with not drinking 30 mins before or after eating. That is tough for me since I drink a lot of water, but I am going to make it...I want to thank those of you *****sponded to my post on how to do this test. You have been life savers to start me back on the right track. I really appreciate the help and welcome your support. I really need it! Thank you fellow BOTTS

Great to hear you took the plunge and started the test.  I am convinced that it was the one thing (other than joining BOTT) that got me headed in the right direction by taming the carb demons and virtually eliminating all of my carb cravings.  It's not easy, but it's much, much better at this point for me.  I haven't gone back to simple carbs, and that keeps me strong.

7 lbs of water weight is better than none at all...it's still weight loss, and it gets you in the right mindset to continue wanting to see the scale moving down.  You will also notice the difference in how your clothes fit, even if the scale isn't moving.  Hang tough, and good luck to you!

Thanks for your support Sheila. It is tough! I hope the carb cravings are tamed soon.  Once I break this cycle I plan on staying off simple carbs too. They are definitely the demon for me...Stay strong and thanks for the support. It helps me very much!!
