Hi There, I'm Kathy. I keep seeing all the posts on the 5 day pouch test, but I can't find one that actually explains exactly what it is and how to do it. I had RNY in Feb. 2007 and I've gained 39 lbs back in the past 3 years. I just can't seem to get my eating under control. I am struggling terribly and so upset about it. I really need to get back on track and loose it. It's really affecting how I feel about myself. Can somebody PLEASE explain to me how to do the pouch test. I want to get back on track so badly and I need a jump start. I would really appreciate it. : )

It's basically a 5 day redo of the first several weeks of eating after surgery..  starting with liquids. soft foods, etc...  I'll see if I can find the link for it online...

You should find all the info you need here:

It does work, especially for eliminating carb cravings.  Good luck to you :)

I have semi-re-do's every day - by starting with a protein shake every morning. It satisfies my body & provides energy. When I don't drink it, it seems like my body thinks it needs something. Then the cravings start and it's harder to resist them (and I'm only 3 months post-op).
