Good Morning Botts:

My alarm went off at 5:15 Am and I turned my back and got up at 6:30 AM instead...No morning walk this morning.  Clouds are moving in and we are getting ready for a "cool" front.  High temperature today around 85 degrees.  Yay!!!  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

2nd Breakfast:  Unjury Protein Shake

Snack:  Vitatop

Lunch:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Grapes

Snack:  Cheese & Crackers

Dinner:  Tuna Salad

Snack:  Chocolite Turtle Pecan Bar

I did pack another box of clothes out of my closet last night.  My husband told me I could not buy anything else unless something came out of the closet.  What is so bad, is that I can't tell that anything is missing.  I am a shameful clothes horse......  Have a great day and remember those vits and fluids.

I love kettle corn.  Have you tried the Special K "sweet and salty" chips.  They are awesome and only 110 calories for 26 chips.  They are the closest I can get to the good old kettle corn popcorn.

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Another high carb day in fruits.  I have found that I just can't have certain items in my house (as a lot of us have), and that's why I haven't bought a watermelon this season.  Well, then I tried another favorite (cherries) with the same effects.  Next it was peaches, and now cantaloupe and plums.  They will all be gone by tomorrow, and I won't be buying anymore unless it's the already cut and pre-portioned fruit.  But I stayed within my calorie range so I'm not worried.  I just know that the temptation has to go, lol!!

No bike workout today.  I had an EMG to evaluate my muscle function in my legs today.  Needles were stuck all over, and even though I was warned there "might be" pain, it was very mild and tolerable.  I just decided to take a rest day from the bike.  Today I ate:

B:  4 strips turkey bacon, 2 eggs, 1.5 c cantaloupe

S:  1.5 c cantaloupe

L:  small grilled chicken breast and leg, 1/2 c green beans

S:  1 oz peanuts, coffee with Splenda, 3 tbsps light half & half

D:  4 ozs deli ham on sandwich thin, mustard, lettuce, tomato

S:  4 ozs SF chocolate pudding mixed with 4 tbsps FF Cool Whip

Goodnight friends :)

When I started eating fruits after my latest surgery in June this year I had as hard time to control my portion. There are only a few fruits that I buy and allow myself to eat due to my RH. There are berries, kiwi, and some pineapple. In winter I may get some pink grapefruit .... I am learning to control my portions. The rest of fruits have too many sugars and even if they don't give me RH low sugars - theory make me really hungry for more food.

Shelia:  I love fruits too!  I think sometimes we eat them so much when we have them because we do not want them to go bad before we finish them.  I try to buy fruits that the whole family will eat so that they do not hang around more than 1-2 days tops.

I second what you both said...they definitely make me want to eat...not necessarily carbs, but just eat period.  So since they have the power to defeat me, I just have to buy smaller portions, or keep them out of my house.  Since I live alone (most of the time),  I don't always have other mouths available to eat it unless my granddaughters visit, so I know what I must do.  Lord, I LOVE watermelon, but I'd eat the whole thing given the chance!
