Good Morning Botts:

They say that confession is good for the soul, so here I go:  I totally blew my eats for yesterday.  I took my son to make senior pictures and from there we went to his favorite place to eat.  I ate a small slider burger and 2 classic nachos.  Not too bad, but wait.  Had to make an unschedule trip out of town to check out a house and meet a loan officer at the bank.  Got stressed, ate a giant HONEY BUN!!!!!!! My goodness, I should have gone in a sugar coma but didn't, thank you Jesus.  Then, I had the nerve to eat dinner, chicken fajitas with a mini ice cream cone on top.  I went from eating 1000 calories a day to a whopping 1960 calories.  I actually do feel better now that I have confessed.  I will be minding my P's and Q's today.  My eats for today will be:

Breakfast:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Grapes

Lunch:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Vitatop Brownie

Dinner:  Protein Shake

Snack:  Protein Vanilla Pudding

Exercise:  Just running around town today.  I should be hitting the gym though.....

I hope everybody has a great day.  Remember those vits and fluids.

I'll post my eats a little later but I had to let yall know about my doc appt this morning.

It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. (HAppy Dance!!!) In 6 months I had gained 1 pound. Not the direction I wanted the scale to go in BUT like I mentioned yesterday to have conquered the stress eating demons of the past few months to only come out up 1 pound was a significant milestone for me personally.

Labs were ------UGLY.  Yes my D has come up. Having said that I will add that it is no where near where I want it to be. It was 33 so that is the very low end of normal. It's the middle of summer. I have had tons of sunshine therapy so this should have been my highest reading of the year. I'll keep on top of my supplements and sunshine. Sugar was GREAT!!! B-12 was back up in the normal levels.

My iron was lower than 6 months ago. I start iron infusions next Wednesday for the next 5 weeks. I'm not a fan of needles/iv's but I really would like to have my energy back. So in 7 weeks we do my blood work again and then proceed from there. Oh the fun.

Iris,

Happy that your appointment went better than you expected.  Gaining only 1 pound in 6 months after all you have endured with your mom's medical problems, your own medical concerns and the added stress of planning a wedding is phenomenal!  Just think of what you, and many of us may have gained in the past, before we were able to come to terms with our weight.

Keep up on the supps...osteoporosis is no picnic, believe me!

Iris:

Good report on the scale but for that Vitamin D I took 50,000 units of Dry D3 I ordered from Vitalady for six months to get my vitamin D in the high black zone.  I now only take it once a week to stay around 70-80.  You might want to order you some.  Vitalady is the only one I can find that has the Dry D3 in that high of quantity/dose.  I also, take her tender iron and have awesome results from that too.

1 lb is nothing. I stay the same - up or down 2-3 lbs. from one day to the next.   1 lb - is not really a gain. It si fluctuation.

Considering the D - I took 50,000 IU dry - daily for a month, then scaled down to 1-2 a week. Now my D is 68..

Tess,

Don't be surprised if you actually drop a pound or two after your high cal count yesterday.  It takes 3500cals in excess to gain a pound, and you could actually have given your metabolism a jump start by abandoning the "routine" of 1000 cals/day.  That's what I was saying yesterday about breaking a plateau, although I do it with healthier carbs or higher fats...to break away from the mundane, and trick my metabolism.  Together with extra water and exercise, it works (for me anyway).

I've been "assigned" a 1200 cal/day allowance on myfitnesspal.com, and I'm almost always under that count, but over 3 days last weekend, I went over by a few, to a couple hundred calories.  I had been at 193 for the last week or so, and on Monday I weighed 190.  Today it's 189, but I don't "accept" it until I've seen it consistently for 2-3 days :)

I'm not advocating indulgences for anyone, but at least you are one who can go right back to your program.  I still can't trust myself to eat anything outside of my plan (although I have done 2 fried items since tackling my regain---a fried softshell crab and a fried flounder filet).  I'm just saying don't fret too much....you might be pleasantly surprised!

Thanks Shelia, but that Honey Bun will be attached to my bun for at least 3 days.  I rode that horse before.

Good eats!  Sorry about the work out.  I got out this morning but begrudgingly complain for the first two miles, then I was okay.  My bed calls out to me at 5:15 AM every morning, "don't go.....".

And your bed will be SCREAMING for you not to go once those cold winter morning****  I think you'd better paint yourself a Hooter's sign, cook up a buncha buffalo wings, and use your new "GUNS" to get that treadmill outta your hubby, lol!
