Good Morning Botters:
I will be traveling a lot today and will not be in the office after 8:30 AM. Any replies I will be making will be late in the day. My eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
2nd Breakfast: Protein Shake
Snack: Grapes
Lunch: Quest Protein Bar
Snack: Vitatop Brownie
Dinner: Chicken Fajitas
Snack: Protein Vanilla Pudding
Exercise: Walked 2.5 miles around the neighborhood again this morning. Paper lady was late and almost took me and my hubby out by driving to fast!!!! If you walk in the early hours be careful with the foolish drivers out your way.
Have a great day and remember to take those vits and fluids, they keep up healthy, wealthy and wise (or at least healthy)!
Our Paper lady does the same thing. Somehow she thinks she can really make up some time on our dirt lane. At the very most she's got 10 minutes left of her route by the time she gets to us. Go figure.
Dreading my doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. Not so much the appointment as I DREAD the scales and what they'll show. Of course there's no way that they will reflect the amount of stress that I have been subjected to and overcome this past year but I guess that's just my way of trying to justify the comfort foods. Oh what a viscious cycle.
Commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Bacon, egg & cheese Biscuit (only about a 1/3 of the actual biscuit)
Lunch: Frozen Baked Chicken entree with side salad
Dinner: Leftover pastaless Lasagna & another salad
dessert: Smoothie
Lots and Lots and Lots of water. A bit headachy today and I think it's a combination of weather and dehydration.
Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Weight is what it is. Your survived the stress and the wedding and everything else.. That is in the past - What helps me mentally to present the doc with my plan for next few months. I know he does not care as much as I do.. but having a plan - helps me go through the stress of getting weigh and talking to the doc. I also try to pick the most flattering (read: makes me looks skinny) outfit and hairdo. That way - I may be heavy - but he see I look good and I am taking care of myself... That makes the doc more happy than magic number on the scale.
The scale will not tell him/her how much muscles you got since you started, how you changed your diet, how better you feel because of vitamins and minerals.. . You are making progress... That what is more important... weight loss will came when you continue doing well..

Good evening, BOTT friends,
Good day for me today. Back pain not as bad, and got a lot of much needed paperwork done. Going for my CT scan on Thursday, and have to drink that dreaded Readi-cat tomorrow night and right before the scan. I have a real aversion to that stuff dating from the late 90's when I had to undergo several procedures requiring me to drink Readi-cat due to a still undiagnosed bowel problem. I've gone through at least 20 bottles of it, and the last time I had to have it (during an Emergency Dept visit), I asked for a naso-gastric tube to be inserted through my nose to my stomach because I just couldn't tolerate anymore. And guess what...they complied! Didn't bother me one iota, because I had them many times, and even volunteered to be the class guinea pig in nursing school. My instructor passed the tube, then fed me hot chocolate through it, lol! Every time I burped for the rest of the day, I could "taste" the hot chocolate. Anyway, enough of CT scans and the crap (Readi-cat) involved with them.
I got my bike workout in this evening, 31 minutes covering 4.1 miles. Today I ate:
B: KFC grilled chicken thigh (skinless)
S: Iced coffee with Splenda and 7 tbsps light half & half
L; 5 strips turkey bacon on sandwich thin, 1 egg, 1 slice American cheese (meals sorta backwards today)
D: Homemade lean beef stir-fry (no oil, thickeners, or rice)
Hope everyone has a good night, and watch out for the paper lady, Tess! Probably helped being lighter on your feet, huh?
Shelia:
I have had a couple of those ****tails myself. Last time it was suppose to be flavored Strawberry. No Strawberry that I have ever tasted. I don't know if I could do the naso-gastric tube while awake though. Glad your back was a little better today for some much need relief. Have a great day!
