Good Morning Botters:

I think we need an appreciation day for what each of us have accomplished since our original Gastric Surgery.  We have had our ups and downs but we still have maintained some of that original loss.  I am grateful that even at my regain of 70 lbs., I still maintained a 80 lb. loss.  I am grateful today that I am maintaining 145 lb. loss.  I think we all need to stop and look at where we started and where we are at today.  If you only maintained a 20 lb. loss that is still an accomplishment that you did not do before.  Appreciate your journey as you go forward it day!

My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

2nd Breakfast:  Unjury Protein Shake

Snack:  Grapes

Lunch:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Vitatop Brownie

Dinner:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Vanilla Protein Pudding

Exercise:  Walked 2.5 miles in my neighborhood or 4927 steps on my new app on my phone at 5:30 AM this morning!!!

Have a great day and start to the week.  Remember those vits and fluids and pat yourself on your back for job well done!

You are so right, Tess, and that is something that we should all try to keep in mind.  It may help those of us who are not as enthused about losing the regain, or are at a standstill or crossroads in our journeys.  I know that I lost 177 lbs originally, and I kept off,  AT LEAST, 106 lbs for 13 years.  And regardless of the regain, I still have that feather in my cap!  We should look at it as an achievement for ourselves, not as failure.

And the best part is still having the tools to do it, and the knowledge that if you did it once, you CAN do it again!

We have all come so far and I do know that we get disappointed in our results from all the efforts that we put in, me too.  I can bounce up to ten pounds sometimes and I know it is my fault and I try to always nip it in the bud and then I fuss at myself for doing this again when I know better but we are all human and not above making the same mistakes over and over.  Eventually we made all get it right but for now we are all in this boat ride together.

You are so welcome!  Angela, since I have had my PS surgery, I am actually up around ten pounds.  My clothes fit better or in some cases are quite loose on me.  My stomach and hips are flat and smooth and the extra ten pounds has gone into filling out my loose skin in my thighs and my boobs actually look pretty good.  I got fitted for a bra this weekend since I was struggling trying to find what works for me, I thought I was a 38 C but it was not a good fit and ended up being a 36 DD.  Them girls are like guns now.  People better watch out!

You're welcome, Angela, and thanks to Tess for being so thoughtful and encouraging.  After all, that's why we're all here...to encourage each other.  I'm lifted, everyday, when I see that someone has taken their time to post their thoughts, or eats, and to be accountable.  I hope you have a wonderful day :)

You're a wealth of information, H.a.l.a.  I have gleaned a lot from your posts, and you're always encouraging. Pat yourself on the back for that, and great job on restarting your walking and yoga.  I'd like to try yoga someday myself.

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Short one tonight.  Just got my second bike workout done.  I didn't feel so hot when I started earlier this evening, so I stopped after 14 mins and watched TV in bed for awhile.  Got my second wind around 10pm and rode while on the phone, totaling 75 minutes, covering 8.5 miles.  Today I ate:

B:  shake made with vanilla protein powder, 1/2 c 1% milk, 2 tbsps peanut butter, 2 tbsps light half & half (lots of ice and blended).  It was a little over 400 cals, so I used it as a meal replacement.

L:  3 ozs grilled chicken breast, 1 1/4 c cabbage

D:  5 strips turkey bacon and 1 egg on sandwich thin, 1 sl American cheese, 2 tsps light butter sub

S:  large peach

Goodnight friends :)
