Back On Track Together
Saturday, July 20th, Cardio & Cafe
Good evening, BOTT friends,
PC is in RARE FORM tonight...acting like a possessed FOOL, lol! I've had a very eventful day. Got up late (after noon), did my bike workout for 72 mins, covering 10.1 miles, and felt great except for some mild back pain. Ate brunch after my meds (granddaughter ate the same meal), and since then absolutely nothing is staying down...not even water. Drank coffee during my workout and ate my meal with no problem.
I feel like my stoma is blocked...very full, bloated, gassy and no appetite whatsoever. I ate nothing unusual, and my granddaughter is fine after eating the same thing. If my appetite gets better,I might try a plain vanilla protein shake with lots of ice and blend to a slurpee consistency, then eat it with a spoon. If this persists, I'll see my doc on Mon, unless I develop pain or cannot drink at all (have to avoid dehydration). Today I ate:
Brunch: 2 eggs and 1 egg white, 2 slices chopped low sodium deli ham, 1/2 oz shredded cheddar, 1/2 c blueberries
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and as Tess says, "remember those vits and fluids" :)
Started our morning with a 5k (me) and 10k (hubby). Beautiful day for it...68 degrees, humidity broke overnight, breezy. Then Zemba Circuit followed by power shopping for weekly groceries plus things we'll need for a one week vacation starting the end of next week.
B protein smoothie
S quest bar
L salad (lettuce, buffalo chicken, crumbled blue cheese, ranch)
D steak with sautéed mushrooms & onions
Sleep well all!
Thanks, Tigs. I vomited around 10:30 pm, and "felt" something solid, but didn't see it...could've been my huge horse pill vitamin tab, but it's never caused a problem before. But I actually started to feel like my pouch wasn't as full about an hr later, so I started with small sips of water. They stayed down. Still no appetite, and still feel like I've eaten. It's after 2 am, and I'm finishing my plain vanilla protein shake now. No solids tonight.
Congrats to you and your hubby for your marathons. That is such an accomplishment, but not for me (I'm no runner, lol). Glad the weather cooperated. Have a great weekend :)

Thanks, H.a.l.a. I think it was the pills too. I actually took the vitamin, stool softener, my BP pill and my pain pill at the same time (like I usually do), but the thing I did differently was took them with just a couple sips of water because I was about to eat, and didn't want my pouch full of fluid. The only other liquid I had consumed was coffee, about an hr before the pills. I think the pills just sat there in a big clump, then food on top, and being that I wait an hr to drink after meals, nothing moved. So when I did drink, everything that went in just backed out :)
But I'm fine now, took my morning meds with lots of water (broke the horse pills in half). Have a great Sunday :)
